Hi! My name is David and I tutor maths. I graduated from the University of Leicester in 2023 with a First in Mathematics and have been tutoring A-level students over the last three years. From experience, I can say that the best way of learning maths is by doing maths so the lessons I tutor generally involve a lot of questions which we work through together, with you the student gradually becoming more independent and me, the tutor, making sure to fill in any gaps in theory as we go along. Maths can be a very difficult subject but I hope that you will not only be able to succeed with whatever your goals are with the subject, but to enjoy yourself while doing it! First Class honours degree in Mathematics (BSc) from the University of Leicester including winning awards for mathematical communication. A* in Maths A-level alongside A-levels in Chemistry and Physics. 9/A* in GCSE Maths with 10 other GCSEs at grade A or higher.

I’m currently working as a Design Engineer and have recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Space Systems Engineering at the University of Southampton, following my BEng in Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Brighton. Alongside my engineering journey, I have been tutoring for over five years. I started tutoring during my first year of university after discovering an opportunity with GoStudent, and teaching has remained an important part of my life ever since. I’m an enthusiastic and supportive tutor who genuinely wants the best for my students. Rather than taking a strict teacher-student approach, I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, discussing difficulties and building confidence in their abilities. Seeing a student overcome something they previously struggled with is one of the most rewarding aspects of tutoring for me. Outside of engineering and tutoring, I enjoy playing football (and supporting Chelsea!), gaming, going to the gym and spending time socialising with friends. These interests give me a good balance outside of work and allow me to continue developing skills such as teamwork, discipline and communication. Postgraduate Diploma Space Systems Engineering Grade - Merit University of Southampton Bachelors of Engineering Aeronautical Engineering Grade - 2:1 University of Brighton I specialise in Using Inventor, Solidworks, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Ansys harmonics. These are the softwares i have used extensively during my time in University and during my first role in engineering.

Hello! I am a second-year student at the University of Bristol, studying Engineering Maths:) This really gives me a sense of pride, allowing me to see my work and efforts have a real positive impact. Before University, during my A-Levels, I privately tutored many students, across numerous subjects. My students were always so happy and proud of themselves for reaching grades they never thought possible. Aside from my studies, I enjoy drumming, going to the gym and being a part of my university's RAF Air Squadron. In 2021 I completed Renishaw Engineering Work Experience. This gave me Project Management skills, team-building characteristics and other proactive traits. I have devoted 6 years to my time as a member of the Air Cadets and 1 year to my University Air Squadron. This has given me a vast skill set, making me adaptable to various situations. Over the years I have had many jobs to suit my lifestyle. These include being a Resin Caster, Delivery Driver, and Tutor.
