Hi, I'm Chris, a recent graduate in nuclear engineering with a love of maths and physics. I help students to build confidence and improve their core understanding of maths and physics, A-Level and GCSE. I focus on breaking down complex problems into smaller, more manageable steps which helps students understand the content along with worked examples and exam questions which helps students to solve questions in an exam and achieve their goals. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Lancaster University, specialising in nuclear engineering which involved a large amount of electrical engineering and particle physics. I also hold three A-Levels in maths, physics and chemistry from Thomas Rotherham College where I achieved an A*, A and B respectively. I also have GCSEs in maths (9), physics (9), chemistry (9), biology (9), computer science (9), geography (8), English language(8), English literature (7) from Winterhill School.

“Good morning, my name is Hasara Mataraarachchi, and I am 30 years old. I graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon. Currently, I teach Mathematics. I have been working as a one-to-one tutor for about six years. During this time, I have supported students preparing for exams such as SAT and GCSE. I have experience teaching students at different levels, and I adapt my lessons to meet their individual learning needs. I have also taught a student with ADHD, which helped me develop patience and flexible teaching strategies. I am passionate about teaching because I truly enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts. It is very rewarding to see their confidence grow once they begin to grasp something they previously found challenging.
