Hi! I'm Michael, I am a second year medical student and a Biomedical Sciences graduate. I have previously tutored for Year 1-11. I provide person-centered support in Maths and Sciences focusing on boosting confidence and academic results. Beyond traditional tutoring, my background is a Medical Exam Assistant at Brighton and Sussex Medical School University of Sussex (Sep 2020 – Jul 2023): I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. This degree provided me with an in-depth understanding of biological systems and medical research, which I now apply when tutoring complex scientific concepts Harris Academy Battersea (Sep 2018 – Aug 2020): I completed my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. These subjects formed the core of my technical expertise and paved the way for my university studies. Harris Aspire Academy (Sep 2017 – Aug 2018): I achieved 9 GCSEs with grades ranging from 8 to 6. Vocational Training: During this period, I also earned a BTEC Level 2 in Health and Social Care with a Distinction.

This led to my acceptance at the University of Bristol where I am currently studying Spanish and Italian. My language studies have deepened my understanding of grammar structures and language acquisition. As Italian is my mother tongue - spoken at home and during regular visits to Italy - I have native-level fluency and cultural understanding that I can share with students. My strong mathematical foundation, combined with a natural ability to explain complex concepts clearly, allows me to help students build confidence in problem-solving. Hi, I’m Maja! (Pronounced Maya). I’m an astrophysics graduate and a qualified secondary school science teacher. I’ve been through the full rollercoaster of science education, from fighting my way through a master’s degree and emerging with first-class honours, to teaching Year 9s on a Friday afternoon who would rather be anywhere else. Now I help GCSE and A-Level students believe what I already know: you can do this. My goal is to make science feel understandable, interesting, and even a bit fun. When I’m not teaching, you'll find me hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, or writing stories inspired by science and folklore. I went to secondary school in Hungary, where I was initially more interested in the humanities, until I fell in love with space and modern physics. For my leaving qualifications, I completed Advanced Exams in Mathematics and Physics and achieved an A. At university, I completed an integrated Master of Physics degree at the University of Southampton. My first three years focused on general physics (including lab work, mechanics, quantum physics, solid state physics, and wave physics) with a few modules of astronomy. During my master’s year, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I studied the relationship between black holes and their host galaxies and wrote my thesis on this topic. I graduated with first-class honours in Astrophysics. After university, I felt drawn to education and wanted to help students grasp the beauty of science, so I completed a year of school-centred initial teacher training. I now hold a PGCE with QTS as a qualified science teacher.

I'm a university student in my 3rd year studying at the University of Manchester. I'm studying Russian and French language. I'm currently doing my residence abroad and am starting in Yerevan, Armenia and will go to Astana, Kazakhstan in February and France in summer. I have also trained in Tae Kwon do for the past 15 years. I did my GCSEs at Queensbridge school, Birmingham and received 10 qualifications from grades 7-9. English language - Grade 9 English literature - Grade 8 French - Grade 9 Physics - Grade 8 Chemistry - Grade 8 Biology - Grade 7 History - Grade 7 Religious Studies - Grade 8 Maths - Grade 7 Dance BTEC - Level 2 distinction I did 3 a levels in Physics, Chemistry and French and received ABB and a B in my extended project qualification. I completed these at King Edward VI Camp Hill school for Girls. In my first year at the University of Manchester I did Russian from abinitio level and averaged a 90 across the year and French from post-A level and averaged a 73. I averaged a 76 in my first year overall. In my second year I averaged an 85 in Russian language and a 76 in French language and a 71 overall for the year.
