Hi! I am a 2nd Year Biomedical Science student who is looking to help students in secondary school. I have been tutoring for 4 months and have helped students gain confidence leading to amazing outcomes. As someone who went from a Grade 2 to a Grade 8 in Chemistry I personally understand what it feels like to struggle and have mastered the right revision techniques and discipline to work hard needed to improve quickly. I attended DeLisle Catholic College from Year 7 until Year 10 which is when my family moved to London and I started going to Loxford School of Science and Technology from Year 11. Most of my subjects exam boards changed meaning I had to teach myself the Year 10 content as well as the Year 11 content in one year. Despite this I was able to achieve an 8 in Physics, 8 in Chemistry, 7 in Biology, 7 in Maths, 7 in French, 7 in RE, 7 in English Language, 6 in English Literature and 6 in Media Studies. I stayed at Loxford for sixth form as well where I studied A Level Chemistry, Biology and RE where I got C,C,D. I have just finished my first year at LSBU studying Biomedical Science in which I achieved a first in every module. I have been tutoring for 4 months in person and have received only positive reviews. I have also been reading with students at a Primary School for 6 months to help them prepare for SATS.

I am an effective tutor. I’ve worked with SEN students including students with; dyscalculia, ADHD, dyslexia and autism. Whether you are looking to increase your grade by a little, or a lot I am here to get you to that full potential. I specialise in teaching GCSE maths and have led many students to get top grades. I work based on the students’ needs and I am very much able to adapt to their preferred learning style. I use exam questions from your exam board and continue to practice topics with you until you are fluent As I am a visual learner myself, I work with students particularly through diagrams, visual aids and in depth examples, drawn on interactive whiteboards as well as analogies to explain concepts required for their curriculum and more importantly, the final exam. Practice exam and past paper questions are key to unlocking the higher grades, and so I always integrate questions throughout the teaching of content during lesson to ensure the student understands and digests what they have learnt properly through application, you will never be short of exam practice in one of my lessons, as that is how the real exam will be like. There is always an open door policy to ask whatever questions you need to, whether that is in or out of lesson time, no question is too big or small. I look forward to guiding you into achieve the academic potential you and I know you are capable of. I teach all KS3 subjects, a wide range of GCSE subjects and A-level Maths, Business and Chemistry. I’m familiar with all exam boards and hold an enhanced DBS certificate. Having been through GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand how stressful exams can be and how much difference the right support can make. I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s learning style, whether that’s breaking down difficult concepts, practising exam questions or improving exam technique. I’m friendly, patient and approachable and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to make them feel genuinely confident in their abilities!
