I am an effective tutor. I’ve worked with SEN students including students with; dyscalculia, ADHD, dyslexia and autism. Whether you are looking to increase your grade by a little, or a lot I am here to get you to that full potential. I specialise in teaching GCSE maths and have led many students to get top grades. I work based on the students’ needs and I am very much able to adapt to their preferred learning style. I use exam questions from your exam board and continue to practice topics with you until you are fluent As I am a visual learner myself, I work with students particularly through diagrams, visual aids and in depth examples, drawn on interactive whiteboards as well as analogies to explain concepts required for their curriculum and more importantly, the final exam. Hi, my name is Sophie! I am a friendly, happy person, and I love teaching and talking about books. I have recently finished a job as a sports coach and am about to begin my journey as a children's nurse. My favourite types of text to read are Shakespeare and poetry. My availability will be consistent until early November, but then it will be altered. I attended Southend High School for Girls, where I did both my GCSE's and A-Levels. At A-level, I studied Art, History and English Literature, achieving B, A and A*. I went on to study English Literature at the University of Reading and got a 2:1 with a first class dissertation.

"Hi Christine, Diarmuid here. I just got my results and I got the 2nd highest German grade you can get. You helped me so much and I can't thank you enough." Hello there! My name is Christine and I am a junior doctor. I have always been passionate about learning and sharing knowledge in a manner that's simple and enjoyable. With over 5 years tutoring experience, I focus on an engaging, holistic, and student-centric approach to tutoring, whilst sharing my passion and love for learning! I firmly believe the key to mastering anything is understanding the basics and then weaving them together to gain the bigger picture. I have worked diligently to hone my skils over the years, even applying them in my own studies in the medical field, and have been able to get testimonials such as the one above and: "Hi Christina only to let you know Felipe had a 6 in biology which is very good compared with the 3 in January! Hope we can work together from September. So, thank you x" - Pilar "Just to let you know Yousef passed all his GCSEs. Thank you." - Naz "Hii, it’s Mike. I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping me this year and I wouldn’t have done it without your help and support." During the sessions, I work with my students through the agreed upon topic paying close attention to the core concepts, we go through some exam-style questions, and also learn how to frame the answers in the way examiners expect. I also share effecting studying and memory techniques to enable them to better learn and master their content. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun! I look forward to extending this interesting mixture of fun and learning to my students and help the strike that oh-so-elusive balance between work and play so that they can become the best versions of themselves. Would you like to have similar testimonials as these? "hellooooo! hope your doing well. it’s the results day today, just letting you know that i got a 7 in german!! i am very happy with the results, thank you so much for all of your help i definitely wouldn’t have got this if it wasn’t for you 😁" - Shangami "Hello Christine, I hope you have had a good summer. Alastair wanted you to know he passed GCSE combined. He got 55 Score for his GCSE. He is now going to do A levels and considering btec science to compliment a level PE. Thank you for your support, you really made a difference." - Jill I'm available to work together with you/your student and I'm excited to help them achieve their highest potential. See you soon! Hi, I’m Emma! I’m currently studying Biochemistry with French at university, and I really enjoy helping students understand difficult topics in a clear and simple way. I’m patient, organised, and good at adapting explanations depending on how each student learns best. I especially enjoy biology, chemistry, and languages, and I always try to make lessons encouraging and confidence-building. I also like helping students become more organised, build good study habits, and learn how to learn independently, so they feel more prepared for exams and future education. Outside of studying, I enjoy travelling, art, sport, and meeting new people. I am currently studying Biochemistry with French at the University of Manchester, which has given me a strong academic background in biology, chemistry, scientific writing, and problem-solving. My degree includes topics such as cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, chemistry, and laboratory skills, as well as developing my communication and cultural awareness through French. Before university, I completed A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and French, as well as AS Level Maths, where I built a strong foundation in science, languages, mathematics, and independent study. I also completed 13 GCSEs, which helped me develop a broad academic base across different subjects. During my A Levels, I was part of a tutoring scheme, where I supported other students with their learning and helped explain challenging topics in a clearer and more approachable way. This experience helped me develop my communication skills, patience, and ability to adapt my explanations to suit different students. My educational and tutoring experience has helped me become organised, confident with exam preparation, and able to explain complex ideas clearly to others.
