Hi! I am Sanjana, an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge with a huge passion to work with students to aid them gain confidence in a wide range of subjects. Having tutored in the past with children aged 4 - 16, I aim to work with the student on an individual level ensuring we work together, at the students own pace and way of learning. Aside from tutoring and study, I love creating in terms of art/design as well as in cooking, walking and listening to music! I attended Tonbridge Grammar School from Year 7 -11 and St Olaves Grammar School for the remainder for sixth-form where I achieved 7 x 9s and 2 A* and A. I am currently studying a BA in Architecture at the University of Cambridge, where I am a full-time student. Previously, I worked as a tutor at explore learning for 1.5 years where I taught students aged 4-16 in english, maths, 11+ and GCSE. I volunteered in primary schools aswell whereby I helped young students in art and crafts as well as english. I also have tutored students privately in art.

In English, I enjoy reading into a text and finding deeper meanings to better understand the writer’s intentions and message. In Maths, I enjoy working through difficult questions, and using my problem solving skills to reach the answer. My hobbies include reading and writing, ice skating, and anything creative. I have worked with young people previously, volunteering as a Young Leader and, more recently, a Unit Helper in Girlguiding. I was also a reading ‘Super-tutor’ in my school’s reading programme, designed to help Year 7 students boost their confidence and skill in reading, meaning I would step in to cover for any tutors who were absent when they planned to meet with their assigned tutee, and I oversaw the running of the programme as a whole.
