Hi! I’m Sunderani, an Accounting and Finance student at the University of Birmingham with two years of tutoring experience, both privately and in a school setting. I really enjoy helping students build their confidence, improve their understanding and achieve results they’re proud of. I achieved excellent GCSE results, including grade 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish and Drama and grade 8s in Physics, English Language and English Literature. I also achieved an A* in my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Alongside university, I completed a year-long placement at Deloitte in external audit, where I developed my analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. I’ve also started my ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification and successfully completed six exams so far. These experiences have strengthened my ability to break down complex information and explain it clearly, which I bring into my tutoring. I teach all KS3 subjects, a wide range of GCSE subjects and A-level Maths, Business and Chemistry. I’m familiar with all exam boards and hold an enhanced DBS certificate. Having been through GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand how stressful exams can be and how much difference the right support can make. I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s learning style, whether that’s breaking down difficult concepts, practising exam questions or improving exam technique. I’m friendly, patient and approachable and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to make them feel genuinely confident in their abilities! I am currently studying BSc Accounting and Finance with a Placement Year at the University of Birmingham. As part of my degree, I completed a year-long placement as a Senior Audit Associate at Deloitte, where I gained valuable professional experience in financial analysis, problem-solving and communicating complex information clearly. I have also begun studying towards the ICAEW Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification and have successfully completed six examinations so far. Prior to university, I attended an Independent School in London on a scholarship, where I studied A-level Mathematics, Business and Chemistry, alongside an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), for which I achieved an A*. I also achieved an A in my Higher Project Qualification (HPQ). Hi, Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Chloé (my name is Chloé) and I am a French native speaker :) As travelling and getting to know new cultures and languages is a real passion of mine, I am very excited to share my own; French culture and language. I myself had to learn a language that is not my native language (English) so I definitely know how challenging it is for my students to learn a new language. Therefore I can particularly help my students to overcome the fears they can have to learn a new language and truly put myself in their shoes. As it worked for me, I like to give lively interactive lessons using images or videos to optimise memory and focus. I also encourage my student to speak as much as possible, as I believe it is the best way to learn any language : 'PARLER, PARLER, PARLER'. I am the most experienced in giving lessons from Primary to GCSE level. I also have some experience in teaching A Levels and most particularly with adult learners and travellers. I have experience in private French and Art lessons with children aged 6 to 15. My interests include: travelling : I travelled and lived in over 11 countries and got to know very diverse cultures all over the world. Important : please note that I do not teach English anymore. There I got the ESOL Entry 2 (NQF) and the IELTS ( grade 6.5) followed by the BTEC in Art & Design (equivalent to the bacalaureat) and then moved forward to a Fine art BA at UAL. Currently, I am in my third year of BA at Les beaux Arts of Paris ; where the French literary level is very high and sustained. I have just graduated from BSc (hons) Biomedical science with Anatomy with a first class. I know studying can be hard and sometimes knowing the content isn't enough. I have been tutored myself in the past, and so I know first hand what methods work and how student specific tailoring is key! I like to ask the students what they feel will be beneficial so that we can get the most out of the lessons. Through working on our weaknesses and building on our strengths, I hope we can strive to succeed. I have just graduated with a first class in BSc (Hons) Biomedical science with Anatomy. I am about to start my medical degree (MBBS) this September. I have a passion for Science and Maths and love helping others out with information and techniques that helped me during my studies!
