Hi, I'm Chris, a recent graduate in nuclear engineering with a love of maths and physics. I help students to build confidence and improve their core understanding of maths and physics, A-Level and GCSE. I focus on breaking down complex problems into smaller, more manageable steps which helps students understand the content along with worked examples and exam questions which helps students to solve questions in an exam and achieve their goals. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Lancaster University, specialising in nuclear engineering which involved a large amount of electrical engineering and particle physics. I also hold three A-Levels in maths, physics and chemistry from Thomas Rotherham College where I achieved an A*, A and B respectively. I also have GCSEs in maths (9), physics (9), chemistry (9), biology (9), computer science (9), geography (8), English language(8), English literature (7) from Winterhill School.

Hi, I’m Sean Brown, a passionate and dedicated science teacher who enjoys making learning meaningful, engaging, and accessible to every student. I believe science is more than memorizing facts—it’s about understanding how the world works and developing curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. As a tech-savvy educator, I enjoy integrating digital tools, multimedia resources, visual aids, and interactive activities into my lessons to make challenging concepts easier to understand. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, exploring ideas, and learning at their own pace. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, major in Physical Sciences, which provided me with a strong foundation in Physics, Chemistry, and other areas of science, along with effective teaching strategies and classroom practices. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Education, majoring in General Science, further developing my knowledge and skills in science education.

Hello! My name is Shruti and I have always been fascinated by technology and how it shapes the world we live in. I have a strong passion for mathematics and science. I enjoy the challenges of solving complex problems and finding different solutions, which strengthen analytical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. I believe this is very important because it helps us to understand problems better and enables us to break them down into smaller, more manageable parts, which is also very crucial to learn. This also allows us to evaluate options logically instead of just guessing. Alongside this, I love listening to music. Listening to different genres helps me to relax and stay motivated; it also enhances my focus, concentration and memory. For me, music also works by blocking out distractions and creating a very steady rhythm for the brain to follow, which further increases my level of concentration. I also enjoy learning different languages because I believe this helps with connecting to different people from diverse backgrounds. Cognitively, learning a new language strengthens memory, problem-solving skills, as well as concentration. Altogether, these skills helped me to build confidence and independence. Therefore, I became better at explaining new ideas clearly and in an easily understandable way. I also became better at learning new things and finding solutions quickly to different problems. This is extremely essential in fields like engineering and tutoring! Throughout my academic years, I have attended Queen Mary's High School, and after that, I attended Queen Mary's Grammar School for sixth form. Currently, I am a first year Computer Engineering Student at the University of Birmingham.During my school years and university so far, I have completed assignments, projects which have helped me to develop my analytical thinking skills and experience explaining difficult concepts easily. Furthermore, I have also done mentoring before in school, where I was teaching maths to a GCSE student, and this also enabled my skills to improve and gave me more experience of teaching.

Hi, I’m Paul. I mostlytutor Maths and Science as well as Computer Science and English as a Foreign Language, which I trained in at Columbia Teachers’ College, USA. Originally I studied for a BA in Natural Sciences. I have been a classroom teacher and tutor for over 15years, in the UK as well as South Korea, Japan and China, and more recently have developed Science courses for a large online learning platform. My tutorials are often centered around structured practice of specific topic areas, with an approach geared toward getting students to speak freely about topics in their own voices. I am happy to tailor sessions with either general revision, exam preparation or new learning and discovery in mind. In my free time, I enjoy tennis, movies and triathlons. Hope to see you soon!

Lower Level: Maths, Science, French and English GCSE: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, French, Maths and Italian A-Level: Chemistry Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexcel, 11+, medical school application Languages: English ( mother tongue) and Italian (fluent) SEND: No experience Preferred student age group: Primary and GCSE Hi there, I'm Gabriele. I'm currently in my second year of med school at Newcastle University, juggling my studies with a taste for adventure. Growing up bilingual (thanks to my English father and Italian mother), I've had the privilege of experiencing two vibrant cultures. Most of our family vacations revolve around my Italian heritage, which is something I truly cherish. When I'm not nose-deep in my medical textbooks, you can catch me kicking a football on the field or sweating it out at the gym. Staying active is a big deal for me. Plus, I'm all about exploring new avenues. This year, I decided to give bouldering a shot – it's quite hard at first but once you get the hang of it, it can be really good fun. Sports are woven into the fabric of my life, whether I'm the one playing or just an eager spectator. Whether it's the heart-pounding excitement of football, the strategic moves in tennis, or the lightning-speed action of F1, I'm hooked. As a tutor, I'm excited to bring my diverse background and interests to the table. Whether you're aiming to conquer your studies or looking to dive into something fresh and exciting, I'm here to help you along the way.
