Hi, my name is Jaismeen and I am currently studying Aerospace Engineering. I tutor Maths, Physics and Spanish, and I enjoy helping students understand difficult topics in a clear, structured and encouraging way. My teaching style is patient and flexible. I like to break topics down step by step, check understanding regularly, and adapt my explanations depending on how the student learns best. If one method does not work, I try another approach, such as visual examples, real-life situations, practice questions or simpler explanations. I also studied broader subjects such as literature, philosophy and history of philosophy, which helped me develop strong communication and writing skills alongside my STEM background. I have a Cambridge English certificate at B2 level, which gave me access to study in English at university, and I am multilingual. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, Punjabi and Hindi, and I also studied French for three years at a basic level. My main specialisations are Maths, Physics and Spanish. I am especially confident explaining STEM topics clearly because I have studied them academically and also applied them practically. For example, while working in a local hardware store, I helped with tasks such as building and fixing appliances, making keys, and programming electric keys/controllers, which strengthened my practical understanding of technology and problem-solving. Outside of school, I have also taken part in robotics activities and I am involved in robotics at university. I have done theatre and participated in creative competitions, including creative writing, story writing, drawing and spelling bee competitions, which helped me become confident, creative and clear when communicating ideas.

Hi my name is Mathew, I'm a 20 year old dental student studying in Bulgaria. From secondary school I have always been involved in helping fellow students understand topics in Maths and Science and would always be seated with someone during lessons so that I can help them. This way I have assisted 2 of my closest friends achieve high grades in maths and science during our GCSE's. I love teaching because it enables me to pass on knowledge and little tips and tricks I learnt whilst studying which will not only enable my students to understand topics better but also pass on this information to their peers. I'm really patient and can explain topics to students as many times as they need. I like to break things down and approach difficult questions and problems via simplified routes which enables students to build up their understanding from the basics of the subject. Outside of teaching I enjoy being active and playing sports, especially cricket and badminton. I also love cars and love learning about how things work. Hi I am Rhiannon and I live in sunny Glasgow but originate from Cambridge.
