Levels and Subjects I teach Lower Level: All Sciences, Maths and English GCSE: Biology, Chemistry, Maths and English A-level: Biology, Chemistry and Maths Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, 11+, private school entry exams Languages: English fluent French and Arabic at GCSE level SEND (special needs) Experience: Dyslexia, Physical health issues, Anxiety Preferred student age group: Primary and GCSE About me: Hi there! My name is Hafsa and I am a Dental student at the University of Manchester. My friends describe me as hardworking, dedicated and focussed. Science and Maths has a huge importance in my life, a lot of it to do with my degree but also because of an interest I have in me. Having attained AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths in A-Levels, and A*A* and a 9 in GCSE, I have developed from an outstanding student to an incredible tutor. In high school my English teachers always applauded my excellent english analytical skills as I acheived an 8 in GCSE, and I am looking forward to sharing these tips with students of my own. From my own journey, there has been many instances where I have taught myself content because the way the teacher taught me I just didnt understand. This made me an independent learner and encouraged me to reach my highest potential - not to meantion all the amazing tips and tricks I discovered and am excited to pass on to my students too. I have a vast experience of teaching, from volunteering experiences to jobs in different settings with tutoring - which helped me fine tune my teaching skills and made me really adaptable to different teaching styles. As a young tutor, the age gap between me and my students will be relatively small and will allow me to understand them much better, as well as make the lessons more fun and engaging as I know how to meet their needs. I’m currently a student studying biomedical engineering at university. I have been tutoring for 3 years and enjoy seeing my students progress and improve. I have taught students from primary to secondary schools. Helping students be more confident and improve in their subjects is always very rewarding. I’m a very patient tutor so students can feel comfortable to ask me multiple questions about topics they don’t feel confident in. I change my teaching style accordingly to my student’s preference to ensure they benefit the most of the lesson.
