I am very enthusiastic about Maths and the Sciences. Having just finished my A Levels studying Biology, Physics, and Mathematics at A Level; I understand the challenges students face when learning these subjects and enjoy helping others build confidence and improve their understanding. I aim to make learning engaging and accessible for every student. I recently completed my A Levels at Queen Anne's School, Reading, where I studied Biology, Physics, and Mathematics. I've had a strong interest in science, sport and problem-solving since I started secondary school, which has inspired me to pursue a degree in Sports and Exercise Science at university. Hello, my name’s Benjamin. I’m patient, approachable, and passionate about maths and physics. I’ve always enjoyed talking about the subjects I love, partly because I think they’re really cool, but also because I believe it’s important to be curious about the world around us. My approach to learning is based on understanding things from first principles. I think it’s much better to build strong foundations than to simply memorise facts or methods without really knowing why they work. If you understand something properly, you shouldn’t have to remember very much at all and that makes learning a lot easier and more enjoyable. I also like connecting concepts to real-world examples, as this can make abstract ideas feel much more concrete. For example, Faraday’s law helps explain how wireless charging works! As a tutor, I aim to make lessons clear, engaging, and supportive, helping students build confidence as well as knowledge. I completed my A-levels at Bristol Grammar School in Physics, Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry, achieving A*A*A*A. In Year 12, I also gained a distinction in the Advanced Extension Award in Maths. I'm an undergraduate Economics BSC student at the University of Warwick. I achieved four A*s at A Level and I have 3 years of tutoring experience already. My goal is to help my students to achieve the best grades they can, regardless of which stage of education they are in as well as offer student advice on applying to university (should they be an A-Level student), having gone through the process recently.
