Hi, I’m Hassan! I’m a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Bath with a strong academic background in Maths and Physics. I have two years of previous GCSE Maths tutoring experience, working with students from Year 7 to Year 11 across a range of abilities. I’m patient, approachable and enjoy breaking difficult topics down into clear, manageable steps. I tailor my explanations and lesson pace to each student, while using plenty of practice and exam-style questions to develop both understanding and confidence. My aim is to help students not only improve their grades, but become comfortable tackling problems independently. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath and am entering my second year. My degree has a strong focus on mathematics, physics and engineering problem-solving and I achieved 82% (first class) in my first year. At A-level, I achieved an A* in Mathematics, an A in Physics and an A in Chemistry. I also achieved grade 9s in both Mathematics and Physics at GCSE. Alongside my academic studies, I have two years of experience tutoring GCSE Mathematics to students from Year 7 to Year 11, which has helped me develop clear and adaptable ways of explaining mathematical concepts.

As a University of Southampton Graduate in Biology and Marine Biology, my passion for the life sciences shape both my professional and personal life. I love hiking in the countryside and SCUBA diving. Engaging with diverse ecosystems firsthand allows me to bring authentic context, enthusiasm, and practical examples to my tutoring sessions. Currently training as a teacher via the SCITT pathway, bringing up-to-date classroom experience to my tutoring. Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.

Hi, I’m Jamie Evans—a passionate and dedicated math teacher who loves bringing numbers to life in fun and meaningful ways. I strive to create an engaging learning environment where students can explore mathematics through interactive activities, real-world connections, and challenging problem-solving experiences. My goal is to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help every student discover the joy of learning math. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing volleyball, which keeps me energized, focused, and ready to bring creativity into each lesson. I hold a degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in Construction Engineering and Management, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematical principles along with effective teaching strategies and classroom management skills. My academic experience equipped me to design engaging lessons, adapt to diverse learning styles, and cultivate a supportive environment where every student is encouraged to succeed.
