Hello! I am a passionate English tutor with a degree in English Literature and Creative writing from the University of Warwick. I am also currently studying to become a full-time English teacher at secondary school level. My aim as a tutor is to make English feel approachable, engaging and enjoyable, while helping students to build the confidence they need to express their ideas and reach their full potential. I’m especially keen to support students whole might lack confidence in English or find the subject challenging. I studied English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick, where I enjoyed the wide range of texts and forms available, from Geoffrey Chaucer and Homer to modern texts dating well into the 21st century. My course covered poetry, novels, plays, films, graphic novels, and short stories across English and American literature. I also completed a film module in my final year, leaving me confident teaching Film Studies as its popularity grows in schools. Half of my degree focused on creative writing, where I particularly enjoyed screenwriting. Many seminars involved peer review, where I developed strong skills in giving constructive and sensitive feedback. I attended the Royal Grammar School, Newcastle where I completed my GCSEs and A levels.

My name is Fernanda and I am 23 years old, with a BSc in Forensic Science from the University of Kent. I am Peruvian, my first language is Spanish, and have been living in the UK for the past 3 years throughout my university career. I have been studying English and have had all my classes in English since I was 4 years old. I am a big fan of musical theatre (won't speak about it unless asked about), sports such as volleyball and athletics and dancing. I studied Forensic Science (Hons) and graduated from the University of Kent with a Upper Second Class Honours (2:1). I completed my A-Levels (Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry) and IGCSEs in Epsom College in Malaysia. I have experience tutoring and helping students from primary school and my classmates throughout my academic journey. I have also been a EAL teacher at a summer camp in Malaysia where I helped develop the English Language of primary school students who had very little English to none at all. I am currently a Teaching Assistant where I work with kids of different ages, ranging from 11 to 16, and different age groups. I assist in GCSE mathematics, English and Science as well as Year 7 core subjects and additional.

Hello! My name is Anna Mai, and I am a passionate and dedicated tutor currently studying to become an Early Years Teacher. I have extensive experience working with children and young people in educational settings, and I am committed to helping every student build confidence, develop their skills, and achieve their full potential. Alongside my studies, I work in a Montessori setting and part-time in afterschool care, where I support children's learning, social development, and overall wellbeing. These roles have given me valuable experience in adapting lessons and activities to suit different learning styles and abilities. I understand that every child learns differently, and I enjoy finding creative and engaging ways to make learning enjoyable and accessible. I also spent three years teaching and studying abroad, which broadened my understanding of education and allowed me to work with students from diverse backgrounds. In addition to my current studies, I spent three years studying abroad in the ITEPS International Teacher Education for Primary Schools programme. Studying and teaching alongside people from diverse backgrounds strengthened my communication, adaptability, and intercultural skills while deepening my passion for education. Alongside my academic background, I have gained extensive practical experience working with children. I currently work in a Montessori setting, where I support children's learning through child-centred, hands-on activities that encourage independence, creativity, and confidence. I also work part-time in afterschool care, assisting children with homework, organising educational and recreational activities, and supporting their social and emotional development. I am passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and creating a positive, supportive learning environment where they feel confident to learn, grow, and succeed. Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.
