Hi! I’m Sunderani, an Accounting and Finance student at the University of Birmingham with two years of tutoring experience, both privately and in a school setting. I really enjoy helping students build their confidence, improve their understanding and achieve results they’re proud of. I achieved excellent GCSE results, including grade 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish and Drama and grade 8s in Physics, English Language and English Literature. I also achieved an A* in my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Alongside university, I completed a year-long placement at Deloitte in external audit, where I developed my analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. I’ve also started my ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification and successfully completed six exams so far. These experiences have strengthened my ability to break down complex information and explain it clearly, which I bring into my tutoring. I am currently studying BSc Accounting and Finance with a Placement Year at the University of Birmingham. Hi, I am Jaiya Sandhu, a Psychology Graduate from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. Hello! I am Reeshma and I offer tutoring in a variety of subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, 11+ and UKCAT/BMAT admission tests, English language (specifically), and Geography. I can cover KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level (Biology and Chemistry) content from any exam board and will always ensure the content covered in lessons is relevant to the tutee’s requirements. I have the most experience with AQA for the Sciences and Edexcel for Mathematics. I also scored highly on the UKCAT/BMAT tests and am prepared to share my wisdom to tutees as I know what the problematic areas are and the best ways to tackle them. I am currently studying medicine and hence still very familiar with many of the concepts from A-level Biology and Chemistry, as much of what I study stems from knowledge acquired from GCSE and A-level Sciences. I am extremely enthusiastic about medicine, as the human body is one of my most profound fascinations, and I believe I can convey my enthusiasm for education through my lessons. In sixth form, I was a peer mentor and often had to help students struggling with their subjects, and so I have attained a plethora of knowledge on efficient methods to overcome revision and learning issues; furthermore, I am quite an active and independent learner and have trialled many different studying techniques in the past. Therefore, I can tailor my lessons to the tutee’s preferences, e.g., usage of more diagrams for visual learners and more verbal explanations for aural learners.
