I am passionate about helping students reach their academic goals by making learning clear, structured, and enjoyable. I believe every student has the ability to excel when given the right guidance and support. I have increased my knowledge through experiences with top law firms to supporting patients in healthcare areas which has allowed me to strengthen my communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain things clearly. I’ve also helped several students improve their understanding of subjects and grow in confidence with their learning. As a tutor, I take a supportive and adaptable approach as my degree encourages me to understand that every student learns differently so I tailor lessons to suit individual needs. My aim is to make learning both effective and enjoyable, helping students achieve results while building lasting skills they can carry forward.

I graduated in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham and teach Maths to students of all ages up to A level. I achieved A*A*A* at A level in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, reflecting the strong academic foundation I bring to my teaching. With my students, I ensure that their understanding of underlying methods is to the highest possible standard through rigorous practice. In my experience as a student, exposing yourself to different mathematical scenarios builds a great foundation for achieving the best possible grades. My biggest aim for my students is for them to constantly improve so that when they get to the exam, they are confident about any aspect of the syllabus that may arise. For my sessions, I will ask students what they wish to study and ensure I tailor the session around what I am told. If the student is undecided, I will plan lessons around pushing the student to challenge themselves in rigorous practice, with my guidance, around different mathematical concepts in their curriculum. For exams, my main aim is for students to achieve the best grades possible, meeting and exceeding their targets. My highest level of education is an MSci in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham. Prior to this, I achieved A*A*A* in A-level Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. I have over 3 years of experience tutoring students in Mathematics across a range of ages and abilities, up to A level. Through this experience, I have developed a strong ability to explain difficult concepts clearly, adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, and build both confidence and exam technique. My focus is always on ensuring students fully understand the methods they are using, so they can approach unfamiliar questions with confidence and achieve the best grades possible.

Hi! I’m Sunderani, an Accounting and Finance student at the University of Birmingham with two years of tutoring experience, both privately and in a school setting. I really enjoy helping students build their confidence, improve their understanding and achieve results they’re proud of. I achieved excellent GCSE results, including grade 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish and Drama and grade 8s in Physics, English Language and English Literature. I also achieved an A* in my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Alongside university, I completed a year-long placement at Deloitte in external audit, where I developed my analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. I’ve also started my ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification and successfully completed six exams so far. These experiences have strengthened my ability to break down complex information and explain it clearly, which I bring into my tutoring. I teach all KS3 subjects, a wide range of GCSE subjects and A-level Maths, Business and Chemistry. I’m familiar with all exam boards and hold an enhanced DBS certificate. Having been through GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand how stressful exams can be and how much difference the right support can make.
