My name is Gemma and I am an English and Drama Graduate from Exeter University, 2:1 with a Creative Writing Dissertation. I have aspirations in teaching at Secondary School level and classroom and mentoring experience. I have worked for a year post graduation as a Sabbatical Officer in the Students Union. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing poetry and performing. I achieved 1x 7, 2x 8, 2x A* and 7x 9 in my GCSE's and 3x A at A level in English, Drama and Philosophy and Ethics. I took a gap year working, and volunteered in my school supporting extracurricular drama, and I have since returned 3x with paid opportunities, 2x teaching in music and drama. I went to Exeter University and studied English and Drama acheiving a 2:1 and departmental commendation for contributing to the life of the department. During my time at University I took on leadership and mentoring roles in extracurricular and this led me to my current position as a Sabbatical Officer advocating for Students in the University.

I'm currently in my third year of medical school, passionate about both my studies and helping others succeed. As a tutor, I love seeing students reach their goals and gain confidence in their abilities. Outside of academia, I enjoy getting creative with arts and crafts, exploring nature's beauty, and diving into video games for some relaxation. I have two beautiful cats who hold a special place in my heart, bringing joy and comfort to my life. Looking forward, I dream of traveling the world, experiencing different cultures, and expanding my horizons. Additionally, I'm eager to volunteer at animal shelters, where I can make a difference in the lives of animals in need. Balancing academics, hobbies, and future goals, I'm excited for the adventures that lie ahead and the opportunity to make a positive impact along the way. My schooling began in London, where I completed my GCSE and A-level qualifications. These years laid a strong foundation for my learning journey. Now, I'm studying Medicine. This experience taught me the importance of kindness and responsibility. I'm also trained in first aid, which means I know how to help in emergencies. Hi! I’m Mehmood,20 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly: I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. I attended St. Peter's RC High School in Gorton, where I studied separate sciences, business, geography, religious studies, and core subjects, achieving 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Additionally, I’ve gained valuable clinical experience working in GP practices and hospital settings, consulting with patients and developing strong communication and empathy skills. My educational background reflects a strong foundation in science and a passion for teaching.
