Hello, I am from London, but I am currently a second year Dental student at University. I have been tutoring various subjects for over 5 years now, which I have grown to become super passionate about! My favourite hobbies include ballet, piano and violin. I hope on gostudent I can support you with specific subject knowledge and introduce you to useful and EFFECTIVE ways to learn or revise. More importantly I want to help build up your confidence; often you know a-lot more than you think you do. But, if not, I can support you to getting to a place of assurance in your desired subject- we will work together to get you to a level you want to be. I have completed both GCSE's and A-levels, where I obtained a scholarship to attend a local independent school. I am currently studying at Dentistry at University, hoping to become a dentist. I have been tutoring both within my school, online and in a local Kumon tuition centre since year 10, with experience tutoring in a group and 1:1. Through my experience I have gained an in depth knowledge of exam boards, with an ability to tailor students learning to achieved a top grade. I myself know how effective having a 1:1 tutor can be especially when dealing with stressful exams. During sixth form, I took part in a project called Maths Masterclasses, where I helped design and deliver lessons to primary school students. Planning my presentation required careful thought about structure, clarity, and how to challenge the students beyond their curriculum. I also completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), researching how education strategies can be used in children’s medicine to give children and their carers better understanding of health. Techniques like “teach back,” where students explain a topic in their own words, have stuck with me as important tools for reinforcing learning. More informally, I’ve often found myself helping friends understand difficult topics, and I’ve learnt how to adapt my explanations depending on who I’m speaking to. These experiences have made me realise how much I enjoy teaching, especially when I can find the right approach to make a tricky concept click. I try to make sessions engaging but focused, and I’m always thinking about how to present information clearly and logically. Away from study, I really enjoy football - I love playing fantasy league and keeping up with scores. I also like to read non fiction (especially Wikipedia these days!) to broaden my knowledge on a wide range of topics. I was also a member of the Virtual Medical Society, working with other aspiring medical students to create presentations on topics such as medical current affairs, admission exams, and aspects of the application process. This helped me develop the ability to communicate with clarity and confidence. In addition, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and was awarded an A* for my work. My project, titled The Role of Health Literacy in Preventative Children's Medicine, deepened my understanding of the educational principles used in healthcare and how they can be applied within broader educational contexts.

I am a friendly, patient and enthusiastic tutor with over 1,000 hours of tutoring experience, supporting students across a wide range of ages and abilities. I specialise in Maths and the Sciences, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and have experience teaching across different exam boards.
