Hi, I’m Lily and I’m a 19 year old student at the University of Leeds currently on my second year of completing the joint-honours degree of Spanish and International Relations. I have a passion for tutoring and I have been doing it for years in multiple different secondary schools, so I know how to engage with students and adapt my teaching methods to the particular student to ensure they can achieve the highest grade possible in a fun and relaxed setting. I teach Spanish after studying the language at GCSE, A-level, and degree level, so I would say I have expert knowledge in this area to help students who are keen to learn of all ages. We can have fun whilst we learn as I truly believe you learn the most and remember the most when you are enjoying what you are doing. Outside of studying and tutoring I love to play instruments like the guitar and the piano, and I also kick-box and dance. I love to keep myself busy and to help elevate others to be the best versions of themselves which is why I love to tutor, and this year I will be teaching English in Spain. This led to my acceptance at the University of Bristol where I am currently studying Spanish and Italian. As Italian is my mother tongue - spoken at home and during regular visits to Italy - I have native-level fluency and cultural understanding that I can share with students. My strong mathematical foundation, combined with a natural ability to explain complex concepts clearly, allows me to help students build confidence in problem-solving. I've always enjoyed breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps, making them accessible and understandable. Additionally, I hold a 120-hour advanced TEFL certification, which has equipped me with specialized teaching techniques for language instruction.
