Hi, my name is Mads! I am currently attending the University St Andrews, studying for an MLitt in Intellectual History, which is essentially the history of learning and thinking. I recently graduated from the University of Warwick with a first class BA in Modern History. I’m a friendly and approachable tutor, excited to share my love for learning. I teach subjects I have studied previously and still integrate into the focus of my degree, so I continue to study them now! I love animals, board games and books, and look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for my subjects. Hi, I’m Eva! I’m 20 years old and currently studying Business Management at the University of Nottingham, in my second year. I’m passionate about learning, personal development, and helping others achieve their goals, which is why I’m excited to offer online tutoring. During my A-levels, I studied Business, Law, and Physical Education. These subjects gave me a strong understanding of how businesses operate, how the legal system supports organisations and individuals, and the importance of teamwork, discipline, and communication. Having recently completed these qualifications myself, I understand the challenges students can face and know how valuable clear explanations and supportive guidance can be. Alongside my studies, I play netball for the University of Nottingham. Netball has been a huge part of my life, and I love everything about the sport. It has taught me important skills such as teamwork, resilience, leadership, and time management, all of which I bring to my tutoring sessions. Balancing university studies with competitive sport has also helped me develop excellent organisation and commitment. Outside of university, I’m a proud Liverpool FC supporter and enjoy keeping up with football. I also love spending time with my friends, whether that’s exploring new places, socialising, or simply relaxing after a busy week. As a tutor, my aim is to create a positive, friendly, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. I believe everyone learns differently, so I tailor my approach to suit each individual’s needs and learning style. At school I achieved 3 A*’s in Business Studies, Law and Physical Education. In Buisness I studied core areas such as marketing, HR, strategic decision making and finance, and particularly enjoyed applying theory to real life scenarios. In Law I covered criminal law, contract law, public law, negligence and more. In PE I did netball as my practical sport and loved learning about the history of sport eg, the olympics. Hey! I’m Syeda and I am currently in my a placement year studying Law at the University of Liverpool. I have experience tutoring English. My approach to tutoring is to be patient, adaptable and help students feel comfortable whilst achieving set goals. I look forward to working alongside some amazing students! I have an abundance of Law work experience opportunities/ internships which have allowed me to develop many transferable skills including communication skills, adaptability and networking. I also have 4+ years of experience working in Starbucks as a barista which has allowed me thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. “Good morning, my name is Hasara Mataraarachchi, and I am 30 years old. I graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon. Currently, I teach Mathematics. I have been working as a one-to-one tutor for about six years. During this time, I have supported students preparing for exams such as SAT and GCSE. I have experience teaching students at different levels, and I adapt my lessons to meet their individual learning needs. I have also taught a student with ADHD, which helped me develop patience and flexible teaching strategies. I am passionate about teaching because I truly enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts. It is very rewarding to see their confidence grow once they begin to grasp something they previously found challenging. I am especially interested in supporting students with learning differences such as dyscalculia and dyslexia. In my lessons, I focus on making learning engaging by using interactive methods and real-life examples. I adapt to each student’s learning style through questioning and step-by-step scaffolding. For example, when teaching algebra, I break problems into smaller steps and use clear, structured methods to support understanding. Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my pets. Thank you for this opportunity.
