Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a final year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. Currently on track for a 1st class degree. I also achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. Along with gaining an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for over 2 years. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. If you are unsure of this throughout my school career, I have learnt different methods that work for me and would love to pass them on to others so that we can find a technique that works for you. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where I have just completed a summer internship at PwC, which has lead to a full time graduate offer for September 2027. Having studied Chemistry, Economics and Maths at A level, I offer tutoring for students up to and including year 11 in Maths, Science and Chemistry.

I’m a friendly and patient tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming. I teach both Maths and Computer Science across a range of levels, from early primary all the way up to GCSE, I adapt each lesson to how the student learns best. My teaching style focuses on breaking concepts down into simple, clear steps. I like to make lessons interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and think through problems rather than just memorising answers. This helps them develop real understanding and the confidence to approach new topics independently. For younger students, I focus on making learning engaging and supportive so they feel comfortable participating. For older students, I emphasise exam technique, structured problem-solving, and strengthening any gaps in knowledge. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or simply gaining more confidence in Maths or Computer Science, my goal is always to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where progress feels achievable. I have a strong background in both Maths and Computer Science, and I have worked with students across a range of ages and learning styles. My experience includes tutoring primary, secondary, and adult learners, helping them improve their understanding of key concepts as well as their confidence in approaching challenging topics. I have supported students with curriculum learning, homework support, and exam preparation, particularly in Maths and Computer Science. Through tutoring, I’ve worked with learners who needed help strengthening foundations as well as students aiming to reach top grades. My experience across different age groups allows me to adjust my teaching approach depending on the student. For younger learners, I focus on building strong fundamentals and making lessons engaging. For secondary and adult learners, I focus more on deeper understanding, logical thinking, and structured problem-solving.

Hi, I’m Isabelle. I am an undergraduate student studying Biomedical Systems Engineering at the University of Warwick. While in Year 12, I helped students who were struggling with maths in booster sessions offered by my school. These were targeted at Year 11 students to ensure they were confident before their exams. During my A-levels I taught myself AS-level Further Maths as it was not a subject offered by my school. This helped me to discover effective methods to learn and understand content. I became Head Girl of my school and engaged in student council meetings, which allowed me to understand how we can help students more. I am patient, a great listener, and I firmly believe that anyone can become better with enough support. Hi! I'm a mathematics tutor who achieved A*A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics A-Levels respectively. I've always enjoyed teaching friends mathematical concepts and I remain patient, continuing to teach a concept until the student fully understands it. I personally master a topic and explain said topic in a way that works for the student, so that they form their own appreciation and insight into the topic at hand. I believe with expert teaching and dedication to learning, it's possible to master any subject. I attended King Edward VI Five Ways Grammar School, where I achieved A*A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics A-Level respectively. I also achieved GCSES of grades 9999988887 at King Edward VI Five Ways Grammar School. I am currently taking a year out to apply to Oxford University for Mathematics.
