I would describe my teaching style as engaging and adaptable I maintain an open stance towards feedback and novel ideas. I encourage my students to think beyond conventional boundaries, nurturing their unique style and thought paradigm. I strive to push them to present convincing and innovative points. However, I make lessons very practical; there is a science behind English and I can teach anybody how to improve because I know that. I am passionate about English because I believe it is an evergreen discipline. I love the theories and conversations that English illuminates and evokes in all its forms. Studying English language and literature was truly inspiring for me. My A level studies encompassed a multi-modal exploration, including speeches, plays, books, diaries, interviews, poems, comics, and blogs. This comprehensive exploration challenged me to grasp the nuanced aspects of communication, persuasion and emotion. Moreover, it granted me the opportunity to glean insights from numerous authors representing diverse cultural and historical backgrounds. Hence, I am a better communicator and empathetic person which shines through my teaching. Hi, I'm Ravija and I recently graduated from the University of Southampton with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics. I want to help students reach their full potential and build confidence, whether that be through achieving a particular grade or tackling challenging topics! Initially, I attended the Northampton School for Boys for my secondary education, achieving 11 GCSEs ranging from grades 7 to 9. Then I went to sixth form at the same school and studied 4 A Levels (Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry) and earned grades A*, A*, A, A.
