Hi, my name is Guy, I have a BSC in Biochemistry from the University of Southampton and I am currently studying my masters in Synthetic Biology I am here to help guide you with any issues you have in A-level and GCSE Maths, Chemistry and Biology! I achieved three A-levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology from the Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys in Canterbury, Kent. I then went on to attain a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and the University of Southampton. I am now beginning my Master's degree in Synthetic Biology at the University of Southampton.

For about 6 years and about 4000 hours of teaching experience, I have helped several students turn their grades around in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths for GCSE and A-Levels. I have an ESL certification (TEFL/TESOL), which helps me communicate best with non-native speakers. I combine actual study content with relevant past papers, quizzes, and tips that have consistently helped my students quickly improve their grades, drawing from my firsthand experience of the struggles these subjects can present and my own journey of steadily turning my grades around. My classes are fun, engaging, and taken at the students' pace. My hobbies are traveling, tennis, and movies. Bachelor's in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. I'm a university student in my 3rd year studying at the University of Manchester. I'm studying Russian and French language. I'm currently doing my residence abroad and am starting in Yerevan, Armenia and will go to Astana, Kazakhstan in February and France in summer. I have also trained in Tae Kwon do for the past 15 years. I did my GCSEs at Queensbridge school, Birmingham and received 10 qualifications from grades 7-9. English language - Grade 9 English literature - Grade 8 French - Grade 9 Physics - Grade 8 Chemistry - Grade 8 Biology - Grade 7 History - Grade 7 Religious Studies - Grade 8 Maths - Grade 7 Dance BTEC - Level 2 distinction I did 3 a levels in Physics, Chemistry and French and received ABB and a B in my extended project qualification. I completed these at King Edward VI Camp Hill school for Girls. In my first year at the University of Manchester I did Russian from abinitio level and averaged a 90 across the year and French from post-A level and averaged a 73. I averaged a 76 in my first year overall. In my second year I averaged an 85 in Russian language and a 76 in French language and a 71 overall for the year.

I’m someone who enjoys helping others understand things and grow in confidence, especially in maths. I’ve previously given private lessons to classmates, and I found it rewarding to see a topic click after we worked through it together. My approach is to break problems into manageable steps and explain them clearly, adapting to the person I’m helping. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s an important part of learning. Outside of studying, I enjoy reading and playing football. I’d love to bring my enthusiasm for maths to GoStudent and help students feel more confident in their own abilities. I completed my GCSEs before studying Maths, Chemistry and IT at A level. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at university, where I continue to develop my mathematical knowledge and apply it to practical engineering problems. My studies have strengthened my analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex calculations logically. Alongside my education, I have given private lessons to classmates, helping them understand challenging topics by breaking them into manageable steps. This experience sparked my interest in tutoring and showed me the importance of adapting explanations to each student’s understanding.
