Hi! I’m Ann — a second-year medical student who loves painting, reading, and (recently) horse riding. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys learning new things, but I also understand how tough studying can feel when you’re stuck, stressed, or unsure where to start. That’s a huge part of why I tutor — I want to make learning feel lighter, clearer, and way less overwhelming. I’m not the type of tutor who just reads off a screen or throws information at you. I like to explain things in a simple, friendly way, break topics down into small steps, and make sure you actually understand the idea, not just memorise it. Everyone learns differently, so I always adjust the pace and style to whatever works best for you. If you’re someone who loses motivation, gets anxious about exams, or feels like certain subjects just “don’t make sense,” don’t worry — I’ve been there too. We’ll work through it together until you feel confident. I’m patient, supportive, and I’ll never make you feel bad for not knowing something. That’s literally what I’m here for. I really want my students to feel comfortable, motivated, and proud of themselves. I love seeing someone go from “I don’t get this at all” to “wait… that actually makes sense now!” It’s the best part of tutoring. Hi, I'm Kirtivasan (but feel free to call me KV!). I am currently studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Warwick, where I get to apply Maths and Physics to real-world technology every day. I tutor A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science. I believe learning should be engaging, and I use my background in practi I am currently pursuing an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Warwick, where I am predicted to achieve a First-Class degree (70%+) across all my modules. Prior to university, I attended KEVI Handsworth Grammar School for Boys from Year 7 to 13, securing straight A and A* grades across both my A-Levels (Maths, Physics, and Computer Science) and my GCSEs (Maths, English Literature and Language, Triple Science, DT, Art, Music, Religious Studies, and Computer Science). As a testament to my academic foundation in STEM, I successfully completed the ESAT during my application cycle, which earned me an interview and a subsequent offer to study Electrical Engineering at Imperial College London, an institution ranked second in the world for engineering.

I am a friendly, patient and enthusiastic tutor with over 1,000 hours of tutoring experience, supporting students across a wide range of ages and abilities. I specialise in Maths and the Sciences, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and have experience teaching across different exam boards. I focus on breaking difficult concepts down into simple, manageable steps and adapting my teaching style to suit each individual student. My lessons are interactive and supportive, with a strong focus on building confidence, improving exam technique and helping students understand the reasoning behind their answers. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their skills. I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at Brunel University London, where my degree has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of biology, chemistry and the wider biomedical sciences. Before university, I studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-Level at King’s College Taunton, giving me a strong academic foundation across both mathematics and the sciences. Alongside my own education, I have gained over 1,000 hours of tutoring experience, working with students across a wide range of ages, abilities and academic levels. I have taught Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, supporting students from KS2 and KS3 through to GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level. I have also worked with students preparing for the 11+ and have experience adapting lessons for students who require additional support or a different approach to learning. I have taught students following several major UK examination boards, including AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas. This has given me a good understanding of the differences between specifications, assessment styles and mark schemes. I place particular emphasis on exam technique, applying knowledge to unfamiliar questions and helping students understand exactly what examiners are looking for. My tutoring approach is centred around making challenging concepts easier to understand. I break topics down into manageable steps, regularly check understanding and use practice questions to identify and address gaps in knowledge. I adapt my teaching to the individual student rather than using the same approach for everyone, whether they are aiming to secure the fundamentals, improve their confidence or work towards the highest grades. In addition to tutoring, I have experience working with young people as a Summer Sports Camp Coach at King’s College Taunton. This strengthened my communication, leadership and motivational skills and taught me how to keep young people engaged while maintaining a positive and supportive environment. Together, my academic background and extensive tutoring experience have given me the skills to support students effectively and help them make meaningful academic progress.
