Lower Level: Business Studies, English Literature GCSE: Business Studies, English Literature, English Language A-Level: Business Studies, English Literature Preferred exam board experience: AQA for both English and Business Studies, however, the Edexcel Business Studies course has a lot of crossover and therefore could teach this. Languages: German up to GCSE level. Preferred student age group: Primary Level and GCSE level however would be happy to teach up to A-Level for both subjects. From a young age I had a passion for teaching; setting up my dolls and teaching them about whatever I had learnt that day at school, now I have the opportunity to do that and see the results of what we have gone through. Throughout sixth form, alongside my A-Levels I would tutor the younger pupils and help them gain confidence and find enjoyment in learning. now at University, whilst I no longer have the opportunity to do this I now volunteer at the local hospital organising activity evenings for the patients there. Not only do I meet a variety of people here but it has also greatly improved my organisational skills and challenged my already creative brain to new lengths. When I get the chance to relax I do so by reading. I hope that I can incorporate my love for literature in my teaching to create memorable and long lasting connections through what I teach my students. I hope my passion for teaching can be seen through my lessons and will inspire those who I work with to achieve their personal and academic goals! Up until leaving school at 18 I attended The Priory Academy LSST. Here I completed my GCSEs, coming away with 12 GCSEs securing two 9s in English Literature and English Language. I decided to choose English Literature, Psychology and Business Studies as my A-Level options and completed the two years with an A* in Psychology, an A in English Literature and a B in Business Studies. Currently, I am in my first year at Durham University studying Psychology with an optional module in English Literature.

- Presently I am a post A-Level student currently on a gap year, preparing applications to study Biochemical engineering at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London. - I have a deep passion for mathematics, particularly how mathematical modelling and applied mathematics apply to solving real world problems. - Alongside my academic pursuits, I have gained valuable hands-on experience within the pharmaceutical industry at GSK, alongside significant clinical exposure. This has given me a strong understanding of how the core concepts taught in school maths and science apply directly to cutting-edge real-world technologies. - I have a proven track record in student support, having mentored Year 7 students in mathematics. This role allowed me to develop the patience and communication skills needed to help pupils build strong academic foundations. - Have completed A-levels in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Carmel college VI form, Darlington, United kingdom. - Enjoy maths and fascinated by how mathematical concepts can be applied into real world scenarios particularly healthcare in improving human health. - Achieved A* in A-level Mathematics (268/300) so I have the knowledge to share with many students in order to help them reach their full potential. - Alongside A-levels, I completed an academic project titled "Will there ever be a cure for Coronary heart disease?" , in which I synthesised medical literature on biochemical mechanisms and emerging therapies. - Whilst in college took part in an international volunteering trip in Peru where collaboratively with the team we built a school and delivered interactive workshops to the young children in Peru in English, crafts, sports and dance.

I am a calm, friendly GCSE and SATS English Literature and Language tutor who understands each students learning style to help students both grow in confidence and achieve the grades that they need. I have experience providing one-to-one tutoring for primary school students preparing for English SATs and GCSE English Literature. As a Master's student at Loughborough University, I understand the pressure of exams, so my goal is to make English feel less overwhelming, more structured and most importantly, fun. I achieved a Grade 7 in GCSE English Literature, which gave me a strong foundation in analysing texts, understanding themes and developing clear, well-structured exam answers. At A-Level, I studied English Literature and achieved a Grade B, further deepening my ability to interpret complex texts, explore writers’ methods and express ideas precisely in essays. I went on to study a BA (Honors) Criminology at the University of Liverpool, graduating with a 2:1. My degree involved extensive reading, critical thinking and academic writing, and I consistently worked with dense, challenging material that had to be broken down and explained clearly. For my dissertation, i achieved a first class grade (82%). This strengthened my skills in independent research, planning, structuring arguments and writing in a clear, persuasive style. I am now progressing to a Master’s in Social Science Research at Loughborough University, where I will be further developing advanced skills in essay writing, academic reading and detailed analysis. Across my education, I have built strong experience in breaking down complex pieces of writing, identifying key ideas and explaining them in simple, accessible ways.

Hi! I’m Akhshaya, and my passion for teaching has grown since secondary school. I’ve taught at two tutoring centres, where I gained experience supporting students with a wide range of abilities, learning styles, and learning difficulties. I’m passionate about making tricky concepts feel simple and helping students build confidence step by step. Finally, my comfort shows are Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra; I like to play netball, skateboard, and sing! I am a second‑year Biomedical Engineering student at King’s College London, where I study modules such as Medical Physics, Clinical Engineering, and Professional Issues in Biomedical Engineering. My academic background combines strong analytical skills with a passion for STEM education. I completed my A‑Levels in Maths, Physics, and Biology at Beal High School and I have experience applying these subjects through both university coursework and tutoring. Additionally, I have completed my diploma in Carnatic Music.
