Hello! My name is Tanya, and I'm a Psychology student with a passion for learning and helping others reach their full potential. Having benefited from excellent tutors myself, I've seen firsthand the positive impact that dedicated support can have. Today, I possess the qualities of an effective, reliable tutor, including strong communication skills and a willingness to listen. I aim to support and challenge my students equally, adapting my explanations to ensure understanding and confidence in their chosen subject. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lesson structure to best suit their needs, helping to strengthen their understanding and self-confidence. Whether I'm helping with subject knowledge, exam preparation, assignment planning, or study skills, I aim to make learning enjoyable and rewarding. I am currently studying a BSc Psychology degree at Bangor University, working at a First Class Honours. I had received AAA for my A levels, which consisted of Biology, Psychology and Sociology. My degree has given me a strong understanding of key theories as well as research methods, including both qualitative and quantitative research methods. I have experience in designing and conducting empirical research. Throughout my studies, I have engaged in a multitude of modules, such as developmental psychology, biopsychology, personality theory and neuropsychology. I have completed coursework that relied heavily on critical analysis of academic literature. Additionally, I studied at Sandhurst Sixth form where I took Biology, Sociology and Psychology as A levels, learning and building the necessary foundations for my university years. I conducted lab tests in biology and qualitative research for both psychology and sociology. I solidified by critical thinking and my ability to efficiently understand topics.

Hello, I am a final year student at the University of Southampton studying Mathematics with Computer Science. I achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics repectively at A level. This summer I spent time working with experienced teachers, teaching mathematics in a secondary school, they gave me lots of advice and valuable insights that I will use to help you achieve your goals in your future. During GCSE's at Chesham grammar, I achieved a 9 in Maths while only missing out on a total of 7 marks across all 3 papers. I also achieved 9s in Biology and Chemistry with an 8 in Physics. At A level, studying at St Dominic's Sixth Form College, I achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics respectively. At the University of Southampton, I am currently in my final year studying Mathematics with Computer Science, I have achieved an average grade of 80% in my first 2 years of study and am on track to graduate with a 1st.

Hi, I’m Isabelle. I am an undergraduate student studying Biomedical Systems Engineering at the University of Warwick. While in Year 12, I helped students who were struggling with maths in booster sessions offered by my school. These were targeted at Year 11 students to ensure they were confident before their exams. During my A-levels I taught myself AS-level Further Maths as it was not a subject offered by my school. This helped me to discover effective methods to learn and understand content. I became Head Girl of my school and engaged in student council meetings, which allowed me to understand how we can help students more. I am patient, a great listener, and I firmly believe that anyone can become better with enough support. Hello! My name is Elyn and I am studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Liverpool as a second year undergraduate. I have been a tutor for around a year and half teaching 14-16 year olds and prepping students for their GCSEs. I have a great fondness for teaching, as education has always been a big aspect of my life. I love learning and encouraging others to learn STEM in a more intriguing way. I will be open to teaching GCSE and A level economics, maths and physics. Other facts about me is that I scrapbook, I indulge in art as a creative outlet and competed in the Industrial Cadets Gold project during Year 12. I completed my GCSEs at Cecil Jones Academy and gained 9-5s in: design & technology, Mandarin, maths, chemistry, biology, physics, business, English literature, English language, geography and religious studies. I finished my A levels at Greensward Academy and gained: A at economics, B in maths and C in physics. I am now attending the University of Liverpool studying Product Design Engineering as a first year undergraduate. During my time in sixth form I competed in the Industrial Cadets Gold Project in a group of 6 gaining the "Best Concept Design" and "Most Innovative Project" award. As part of my work experience I have been a tutor for a year and a half and did a 3 week placement for a railway electrification company. These experiences has given a lot of independence and team working skills which I hope may inspire future students.
