My name is Shandana Wahid. I am 18 years old and study Politics, International Studies and German at the University of Warwick. I am an experienced tutor with over 1.5 years of teaching experience in economics and politics. I have 10 GCSES, from grades 8-6, including maths, business and triple science. Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a final year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. Currently on track for a 1st class degree. I also achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. Along with gaining an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for over 2 years. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. If you are unsure of this throughout my school career, I have learnt different methods that work for me and would love to pass them on to others so that we can find a technique that works for you. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where I have just completed a summer internship at PwC, which has lead to a full time graduate offer for September 2027. Hi, I’m Maki Mary, an enthusiastic and patient tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence in Science and Mathematics. I believe students learn best when they understand the ideas behind a topic rather than simply memorising facts or formulas. My goal is to make lessons engaging, supportive, and easy to follow, while encouraging students to ask questions, think critically, and develop strong problem-solving skills. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar and singing, which helps me relax and stay creative. I graduated with a degree in Electronics Engineering and am a licensed Electronics Engineer. My academic background provided me with a strong foundation in Mathematics, Science, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. My professional experience in Quality Assurance and Control has further strengthened my analytical, technical, and documentation skills. I also completed my TEFL certification and achieved a C2 Proficient level in the EF SET English test, supporting my ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to learners.
