I am a calm, friendly GCSE and SATS English Literature and Language tutor who understands each students learning style to help students both grow in confidence and achieve the grades that they need. I have experience providing one-to-one tutoring for primary school students preparing for English SATs and GCSE English Literature. I understand the importance of tailoring lessons to suit different learning styles allowing me to explain ideas clearly and help each student achieve their goal. As a Master's student at Loughborough University, I understand the pressure of exams, so my goal is to make English feel less overwhelming, more structured and most importantly, fun. I achieved a Grade 7 in GCSE English Literature, which gave me a strong foundation in analysing texts, understanding themes and developing clear, well-structured exam answers. At A-Level, I studied English Literature and achieved a Grade B, further deepening my ability to interpret complex texts, explore writers’ methods and express ideas precisely in essays. I went on to study a BA (Honors) Criminology at the University of Liverpool, graduating with a 2:1. My degree involved extensive reading, critical thinking and academic writing, and I consistently worked with dense, challenging material that had to be broken down and explained clearly. For my dissertation, i achieved a first class grade (82%). This strengthened my skills in independent research, planning, structuring arguments and writing in a clear, persuasive style. I am now progressing to a Master’s in Social Science Research at Loughborough University, where I will be further developing advanced skills in essay writing, academic reading and detailed analysis. I like to teach in a fun and relaxed environment focusing on giving assignments each week to confirm understanding of the session. I also go through past exam questions as part of my tutoring session to start preparing students to answer questions in a certain manner from day one so they can utilize the maximum number of marks. I hold an MPharm degree with Upper Second Class Honours from Kingston University, where my research on nanoparticle formulation was published and accepted by the American Association of Scientists. I subsequently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy with Healthcare and Leadership at the University of Exeter, achieving a Distinction, and a Postgraduate qualification in Technical Services and Quality Assurance at the University of Manchester, also with Distinction. Most recently, I completed an Independent Prescribing qualification at the University of Leicester, specialising in the management of adult asthma.
