Hi! My name is Hector, and I am a 3rd year Biochemistry Student at The University of Warwick. My aim is to help people feel confident in Biology. As a university student, I understand how frustrating it can be when a topic just doesn't make sense. My approach is patient and clearly structured, with a focus on making sure the student not only knows what the answer is, but why it is the answer. Outside of my studies I enjoy going to the gym, playing padel and reading. I hope you will find my lessons enjoyable! I attended The Portsmouth Grammar School where I completed my GCSEs and A Levels. I studied Biology, Chemisty and Maths at A Level. After A Levels I took a year out where I worked as a ski instructor, gaining a Level 2 CSIA qualification, which allowed me to work with a large variety of clients. Currently, I am in my 3rd year of Biochemistry at The University of Warwick with a predicted First-Class, after which I'm going to undertake a masters. I'm love all biology, but my studies currently focus on oncology and molecular cell biology.

I have over 20 years teaching experience. I have a Cambridge DELTA teaching certificate. I have taught EFL in several countries, including Chile, Brazil, and Italy. My students range from primary school children to adults, from A1 level to university pre-sessional courses. I have prepared university students for General English and Master's preparation courses in Business English, HRM, and STEM courses. I do not teach English Literature at GCSE level. I also have a Master's degree in Spanish and Italian. I have tutored these languages since graduating in 2010. I lived 10 years in Chile and around 5 years in Italy, which deepened my knowledge of the languages. Hi, I'm a second-year Aerospace Engineering student with a strong passion for Maths, Physics, and Computer Science. Throughout my studies, I have developed a solid understanding of these subjects and enjoy helping students build confidence in areas they may find challenging. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps and using real-world examples to make learning more engaging. I believe that every student can succeed with the right support, and I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their problem-solving skills. I am currently entering the second year of my Aerospace Engineering degree at university, where I am developing advanced knowledge in mathematics, physics, engineering principles, and programming. Prior to university, I completed A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, subjects which continue to form the foundation of my degree studies. Alongside my academic studies, I have a strong interest in problem-solving and analytical thinking. I was awarded a Bronze Certificate in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) competition and a Bronze Award in the British Physics Olympiad (BPhO), demonstrating my ability to apply mathematical and physical concepts to challenging problems beyond the standard school curriculum. I currently tutor Maths, Physics, and Computer Science, helping students improve both their understanding and confidence. I am a Cambridge Engineering student offering online tutoring in Maths, Further Maths and Physics for GCSE and A-Level students. I achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-Level, as well as all 9s at GCSE. I also have experience running Physics tutoring sessions, helping students understand difficult concepts and improve their confidence. I am currently studying Engineering at the University of Cambridge, where I use Maths and Physics regularly in a challenging academic environment. My highest completed qualifications are my A-Levels, where I achieved 4 A*s, including A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics. At GCSE, I achieved eight grade 9s and three grade 8s, with grade 9s in the subjects I now teach. My main specialisms are Maths, Further Maths and Physics, particularly for GCSE and A-Level students. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of both the subject content and the exam technique needed to achieve top grades.
