My name is Gemma and I am an English and Drama Graduate from Exeter University, 2:1 with a Creative Writing Dissertation. I have aspirations in teaching at Secondary School level and classroom and mentoring experience. I have worked for a year post graduation as a Sabbatical Officer in the Students Union. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing poetry and performing. I achieved 1x 7, 2x 8, 2x A* and 7x 9 in my GCSE's and 3x A at A level in English, Drama and Philosophy and Ethics. I took a gap year working, and volunteered in my school supporting extracurricular drama, and I have since returned 3x with paid opportunities, 2x teaching in music and drama. Hi, I'm Ankita. I am a 4th-year medical student with a strong interest in tutoring GCSE Biology and Chemistry. Hi! I'm a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Birmingham, tutoring Maths and Science across GCSE and A Level. I got an A* in Chemistry, an A in Biology and an A in Maths at A Level, so I've been where you are, staring at past papers wondering if it'll ever click. Trust me it will. What makes me different? I won't just give you the answer. I will show you how to tackle questions and understand mark schemes better than ever before. These subjects trip people up for the same reason: you need to visualise problems, follow logical steps and remember key facts, all at once whilst trying not to fall intro traps set by the exam boards. I've done informal tutoring with friends and family, and the biggest lesson I've learned is students don't need someone smarter than them but instead they need someone patient, who explains things properly, ensure that they understand, and never makes them feel silly for asking twice. Expect sessions built around real exam technique, spotting how questions are phrased, and turning "I sort of get it" into "I've got this."
