Hi! I'm Michaelangelos, a mathematics graduate from the University of St Andrews (MMath) and incoming PhD student at the University of Glasgow. I've been tutoring maths for several years, including Higher and National 5, and it's something I genuinely love doing. What I care most about is helping students build real confidence and intuition, not just memorise steps. Maths can feel intimidating, and I get a lot of satisfaction from being the person who helps make it click, whether that's turning anxiety into understanding, or helping a curious student go further than they thought possible. I'm equally excited to work with students who find maths difficult and scary as I am to work with those who want to push themselves and become really strong mathematically. Whatever your starting point, I'll meet you there. I am currently an incoming PhD student at the University of Glasgow, where my research focuses on dissecting neural networks, specifically regarding optimisation and generalisation. Prior to this, I completed an Integrated Master of Mathematics (MMath) at the University of St Andrews. During my time at St Andrews, I was placed on the Dean's List consecutively and achieved first-class averages in my final two years of study. I also spent an exchange year at Western University during the 2024-2025 academic year. My academic background is deeply rooted in advanced mathematics and computational science. My master’s dissertation, which earned a 90% grade and was highly commended for the Duncan Prize, focused on a posteriori methods for error control via the reconstruction technique. My key areas of study have included stochastic dynamics, statistical machine learning, financial mathematics, neural networks, and data analytics consulting. Through these experiences, I have developed strong technical proficiencies in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, SQL, and R, along with various machine learning frameworks.

Hello. I'm Debs, nice to meet you. I tutor a range of subjects, all based on experience of teaching within school, college and less tradiitional settings. I love tutoring one to one as that is the best way to give the student exactly what they need. I teach Sociology, Business and English at GCSE and A level and I have experience of AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I have also taught Btec Business level 1-3 In 2023 I completed a Master's degree in Philosophy as I love learning new things just as much as I love to teach. I make learning fun wherever possible and tailor every lesson to the student's needs. I use a variety of methods so you won't get bored and I am always happy to answer questions and re-explain things. There's no such thing as a silly question! I appreciate people who try, no matter what their ability is, and i love seeing people achieve things that they never dreamed they could. Let me help you do that. Outside of work I enjoy reading, walking, cycling, and making art and fabric items which I sometimes sell at craft fairs. I sometimes pet-sit two very friendly dogs. I completed my Bachelor of Education Degree in Senior and FET PHASE, majoring in Mathematics, Geography and IsiZulu Home Language with University of Pretoria. I also did my Teaching English as Foreign Language. I recently completed my Bachelor of Education Honours in Mathematics and Science Education. I’m now persuading my Master of Education in Mathematics Education with University of Pretoria. I worked as an online teacher at International Schooling an online school based in Singapore, I was teaching Mathematics and Science Grade 7-12. Hi, I'm Matty and I am a first year mechanical engineering student at the university of Sheffield looking to tutor physics at GCSE. I'm a patient, relaxed person who has always had a passion for learning and teaching physics. I believe I have a great process for learning sciences, especially physics, that produces deep understanding and great results.
