Hi, I’m Maki Mary, an enthusiastic and patient math teacher who enjoys helping students understand math in a simple and practical way. I believe math becomes easier when students understand the concept instead of simply memorizing formulas. My goal is to make learning math engaging, supportive, and less intimidating, while helping students build their problem-solving skills and confidence. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar and singing, which helps me relax and stay creative throughout the day. I graduated with a degree in Electronics Engineering and am a licensed Electronics Engineer. My academic background gave me a strong foundation in mathematics, logical reasoning, and problem-solving, while my professional experience in Quality Assurance and Control further strengthened these skills. I also completed my TEFL certification and achieved a C2 Proficient level in the EF SET English test, which strengthened my communication skills and prepared me to support learners effectively.

I'm currently in my third year of medical school, passionate about both my studies and helping others succeed. As a tutor, I love seeing students reach their goals and gain confidence in their abilities. Outside of academia, I enjoy getting creative with arts and crafts, exploring nature's beauty, and diving into video games for some relaxation. I have two beautiful cats who hold a special place in my heart, bringing joy and comfort to my life. Looking forward, I dream of traveling the world, experiencing different cultures, and expanding my horizons. Additionally, I'm eager to volunteer at animal shelters, where I can make a difference in the lives of animals in need. Balancing academics, hobbies, and future goals, I'm excited for the adventures that lie ahead and the opportunity to make a positive impact along the way. My schooling began in London, where I completed my GCSE and A-level qualifications. These years laid a strong foundation for my learning journey. Now, I'm studying Medicine. I'm excited to dive deeper into the medical field and learn how to help people live healthier lives. Outside of school, I've spent time working as a carer, assisting those who need help. This experience taught me the importance of kindness and responsibility. I'm also trained in first aid, which means I know how to help in emergencies. Learning first aid shows my commitment to being helpful and prepared for any situation. Combining my education, caregiving experience, and first aid training, I'm eager to continue growing and making a positive impact in the medical field. Hello! My name is Erin, I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. As a tutor, my main aim is to quickly determine a students weaknesses, then create a dedicated study plan to help them improve in those areas. I believe that active recall, spaced repetition, and lots and lots of past paper questions - are the key to success! I am well versed in tutoring students of all ages; I have tutored various students ranging from ages 6 to 16 in a variety of different settings. I am also experienced in entrance exam tutoring. Having sat several entrance exams over my lifetime, I understand how to make a study plan that is both time efficient and effective, and how to utilise this study plan effectively. I have previously mentored students who wish to study medicine through UCAS, entrance exam and interview preparation; several of them currently study at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge! In my spare time, I am a highly creative person - I frequently attend dance classes, I music direct/conduct my university choir, and I scrapbook! I also love to read :) Currently attending the University of Birmingham Medical School - 1st year, Medicine. Attended a top London Grammar school; where I achieved 10 A*s (Grades 8-9) at GCSE level, and 3 As at A level in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. In addition to educational qualifications, I also study the piano; I have completed my Grade 8 and am currently working towards my diploma in Music Performance!
