Hello! My name is Elyn and I am studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Liverpool as a second year undergraduate. I have been a tutor for around a year and half teaching 14-16 year olds and prepping students for their GCSEs. I have a great fondness for teaching, as education has always been a big aspect of my life. I love learning and encouraging others to learn STEM in a more intriguing way. I will be open to teaching GCSE and A level economics, maths and physics. Other facts about me is that I scrapbook, I indulge in art as a creative outlet and competed in the Industrial Cadets Gold project during Year 12. I completed my GCSEs at Cecil Jones Academy and gained 9-5s in: design & technology, Mandarin, maths, chemistry, biology, physics, business, English literature, English language, geography and religious studies. I finished my A levels at Greensward Academy and gained: A at economics, B in maths and C in physics. I am now attending the University of Liverpool studying Product Design Engineering as a first year undergraduate. During my time in sixth form I competed in the Industrial Cadets Gold Project in a group of 6 gaining the "Best Concept Design" and "Most Innovative Project" award. As part of my work experience I have been a tutor for a year and a half and did a 3 week placement for a railway electrification company. These experiences has given a lot of independence and team working skills which I hope may inspire future students.

I have over 20 years teaching experience. I have a Cambridge DELTA teaching certificate. I have taught EFL in several countries, including Chile, Brazil, and Italy. My students range from primary school children to adults, from A1 level to university pre-sessional courses. I have prepared university students for General English and Master's preparation courses in Business English, HRM, and STEM courses. I do not teach English Literature at GCSE level. I also have a Master's degree in Spanish and Italian. I have tutored these languages since graduating in 2010. I lived 10 years in Chile and around 5 years in Italy, which deepened my knowledge of the languages. - Presently I am a post A-Level student currently on a gap year, preparing applications to study Biochemical engineering at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London. - I have a deep passion for mathematics, particularly how mathematical modelling and applied mathematics apply to solving real world problems. - Alongside my academic pursuits, I have gained valuable hands-on experience within the pharmaceutical industry at GSK, alongside significant clinical exposure. This has given me a strong understanding of how the core concepts taught in school maths and science apply directly to cutting-edge real-world technologies. - I have a proven track record in student support, having mentored Year 7 students in mathematics. This role allowed me to develop the patience and communication skills needed to help pupils build strong academic foundations. - Have completed A-levels in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Carmel college VI form, Darlington, United kingdom. - Enjoy maths and fascinated by how mathematical concepts can be applied into real world scenarios particularly healthcare in improving human health. - Achieved A* in A-level Mathematics (268/300) so I have the knowledge to share with many students in order to help them reach their full potential. - Alongside A-levels, I completed an academic project titled "Will there ever be a cure for Coronary heart disease?" , in which I synthesised medical literature on biochemical mechanisms and emerging therapies. - Whilst in college took part in an international volunteering trip in Peru where collaboratively with the team we built a school and delivered interactive workshops to the young children in Peru in English, crafts, sports and dance.

Hi, my name is Deborah and I am currently studying Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield! I have always loved biology, and at A-level I was also fascinated by psychology and maths, achieving A, A* and A in the subjects respectively. I have over 30 hours of experience tutoring, and I can ensure that I will do my best in helping you learn, combining my knowledge of the subjects, my understanding of what it feels like to be a bit left behind in school, and lots of positivity to prepare you for exams :) I attended Westcliff High School for Girls and achieved A*, A, A and B in A-level Psychology, A-level Maths, A-level Biology and Level 3 EPQ respectively.
