I’m a friendly tutor who's very passionate about helping others succeed and tailors every lesson to each student’s needs and learning style. Hello! My name is Elyn and I am studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Liverpool as a second year undergraduate. I have been a tutor for around a year and half teaching 14-16 year olds and prepping students for their GCSEs. I have a great fondness for teaching, as education has always been a big aspect of my life. I love learning and encouraging others to learn STEM in a more intriguing way. I will be open to teaching GCSE and A level economics, maths and physics. Other facts about me is that I scrapbook, I indulge in art as a creative outlet and competed in the Industrial Cadets Gold project during Year 12. I completed my GCSEs at Cecil Jones Academy and gained 9-5s in: design & technology, Mandarin, maths, chemistry, biology, physics, business, English literature, English language, geography and religious studies. I finished my A levels at Greensward Academy and gained: A at economics, B in maths and C in physics. I am now attending the University of Liverpool studying Product Design Engineering as a first year undergraduate. During my time in sixth form I competed in the Industrial Cadets Gold Project in a group of 6 gaining the "Best Concept Design" and "Most Innovative Project" award. As part of my work experience I have been a tutor for a year and a half and did a 3 week placement for a railway electrification company. These experiences has given a lot of independence and team working skills which I hope may inspire future students.

I'm a university student in my 3rd year studying at the University of Manchester. I'm studying Russian and French language. I'm currently doing my residence abroad and am starting in Yerevan, Armenia and will go to Astana, Kazakhstan in February and France in summer. I have also trained in Tae Kwon do for the past 15 years. I did my GCSEs at Queensbridge school, Birmingham and received 10 qualifications from grades 7-9. English language - Grade 9 English literature - Grade 8 French - Grade 9 Physics - Grade 8 Chemistry - Grade 8 Biology - Grade 7 History - Grade 7 Religious Studies - Grade 8 Maths - Grade 7 Dance BTEC - Level 2 distinction I did 3 a levels in Physics, Chemistry and French and received ABB and a B in my extended project qualification. I completed these at King Edward VI Camp Hill school for Girls. In my first year at the University of Manchester I did Russian from abinitio level and averaged a 90 across the year and French from post-A level and averaged a 73. I averaged a 76 in my first year overall. In my second year I averaged an 85 in Russian language and a 76 in French language and a 71 overall for the year.
