Hi! I’m Jasnit, a second-year medical student and a friendly, enthusiastic Maths and Science tutor. I enjoy helping students build both their confidence and understanding, and I aim to make lessons clear, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I achieved Grade 9s in GCSE Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry, alongside A* grades in A-Level Biology and Chemistry and an A in A-Level Maths. Having recently gone through these exams myself, I understand how challenging certain topics can feel and how important it is to have the right support. I am a second-year Medical student at the University of Birmingham, having completed my A-Levels at Wolverhampton Girls’ High School, achieving A* grades in Biology and Chemistry and an A in Mathematics. I completed my GCSEs at Queen Mary’s High School, achieving Grade 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. My specialisations are Maths and the Sciences, particularly Biology.

I am a first-year university student studying Computer Science, with a strong academic foundation in both mathematics and computing. I specialise in teaching Mathematics and Computer Science, and I have hands-on experience supporting and teaching students within a primary school setting, helping them build confidence and understanding. I successfully completed the 11 Plus examination in Year 6, which reflected my strong academic ability from an early age, particularly in English and Mathematics. I then went on to attend Bartley Green Secondary School, where I studied a wide range of subjects including English, Mathematics, Triple Science, Religious Education, Geography, French, and Computer Science. Studying such a broad curriculum helped me become well-rounded and develop important skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and clear communication. After secondary school, I attended King Edward VI College, Stourbridge, where I studied A-Levels in Mathematics, Law, and Computer Science. These subjects allowed me to strengthen my logical thinking and analytical skills. Mathematics deepened my confidence in tackling complex problems, Law improved my ability to form structured arguments, and Computer Science further developed my technical knowledge and passion for computing. Overall, my educational journey has been consistent, focused, and driven by a genuine interest in analytical and technical subjects.

At A-Level, I studied Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry, achieving high grades in all three. Alongside my A-Levels, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) on antibiotic resistance, an area of real scientific relevance. This independent research project developed my ability to think critically, evaluate complex information, and communicate ideas in a clear, structured way—skills that are essential for academic success and effective exam technique. I am currently a medical student, a highly competitive course that reflects both my academic ability and commitment to excellence. Studying medicine has further strengthened my understanding of science at a deeper level, while also training me to break down complex topics into simple, logical steps—an approach I use directly in my tutoring to help students understand, retain, and apply what they learn with confidence.
