During the sessions, I work with my students through the agreed upon topic paying close attention to the core concepts, we go through some exam-style questions, and also learn how to frame the answers in the way examiners expect. I also share effecting studying and memory techniques to enable them to better learn and master their content. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun! Hi I’m Krithi! I’m a friendly and enthusiastic tutor who enjoys helping students become more confident in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I know that some topics can feel overwhelming, so I like to break them down into simple steps and explain them in different ways until they make sense. I’m patient, approachable and encourage students to ask questions and learn from mistakes. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy swimming and spending time with my family and friends. I’m really looking forward to helping students achieve their goals and enjoy their learning journey! I attended Highfields School, where I completed my GCSEs achieving all 7s, 8s and 9s, and subsequently studied A-level Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, achieving AAA. I am now preparing to begin my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Birmingham. My main academic specialisations are Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, with a particular interest in Biology and the biomedical sciences. I am particularly interested in how scientific knowledge can be applied to understand the human body and disease. Alongside my studies, I have gained experience supporting and tutoring younger students, including helping Year 11 students with their GCSE preparation. This has taught me how important it is to adapt explanations to each student's individual needs and learning style. Hi, my name is Aoife, I am 18 years old and currently a first year law student at the University of Leeds (and an aspiring human rights lawyer!). My special subject is English, primarily English literature. My highest academic achievements are my 3 A levels (A* in politics, A in history, B in English literature). I am willing to tutor the English subject to year groups 9-11 in secondary as I believe this is when that extra boost in confidence is so important! My passion for English is reflected in my GCSE grades too - achieving a grade 9 in English language and grade 8 in English literature. I have previous experience with children with SEN needs such as autism and ADHD, shaping my teaching style as one of patience and prioritising clarity without exerting pressure on a student. I personally struggled with confidence in both primary and secondary school, and going through tutoring myself helped with this enormously. My personal hobbies include reading and creating artwork in my free time. I look forward to helping you/your child with English and literacy skills! For secondary school I attended Carr Manor Community school, achieving GSCEs all grade 7 and above. I excelled in humanities subjects, with a grade 9 in both history and English language and a grade 8 in English literature. My academic passion carried on into my A levels which I completed at Notre Dame Catholic VI Form College. I achieved an A* in A level politics, A in A level history and a B in English literature. I have gone on to be accepted to study law at the University of Leeds, a Russell group university.
