Hi! I'm Emma I'm a third year medical student at Newcastle University. I am offering tutoring for English Literature and Biology. I loved studying both subjects and hope I can inspire you to do the same. I love hiking and yoga as well as playing the piano. Medical school has given me a deeper insight into biology and furthered my understanding to help better explain the tricky A-level topics. I attended King James's School Knaresborough where I completed my GCSEs achieving all 8s and 9s then my A levels achieving A*AAA in English Literature, History, Biology and Chemistry. I now study Medicine at Newcastle University and am in my third year. I am also grade 8 piano.

Hi, I'm Matty and I am a first year mechanical engineering student at the university of Sheffield looking to tutor physics at GCSE. I'm a patient, relaxed person who has always had a passion for learning and teaching physics. I believe I have a great process for learning sciences, especially physics, that produces deep understanding and great results. I am passionate about teaching Maths because I enjoy helping students see that Maths is not something that is impossible but with help even the most complex topics can be broken down simply. It is especially nice when students come back to you with better results more confidence and a big smile. I can teach Mathematics for A-Levels and below. Big fan of football, cricket (which I play competitively for a club in the Surrey Leagues), video games and recently F1 I would like to preferably tutor students in secondary school, however I am open for Primary school students as well. I am a calm, friendly GCSE and SATS English Literature and Language tutor who understands each students learning style to help students both grow in confidence and achieve the grades that they need. I have experience providing one-to-one tutoring for primary school students preparing for English SATs and GCSE English Literature. I understand the importance of tailoring lessons to suit different learning styles allowing me to explain ideas clearly and help each student achieve their goal. As a Master's student at Loughborough University, I understand the pressure of exams, so my goal is to make English feel less overwhelming, more structured and most importantly, fun. I achieved a Grade 7 in GCSE English Literature, which gave me a strong foundation in analysing texts, understanding themes and developing clear, well-structured exam answers. At A-Level, I studied English Literature and achieved a Grade B, further deepening my ability to interpret complex texts, explore writers’ methods and express ideas precisely in essays. I went on to study a BA (Honors) Criminology at the University of Liverpool, graduating with a 2:1. My degree involved extensive reading, critical thinking and academic writing, and I consistently worked with dense, challenging material that had to be broken down and explained clearly. For my dissertation, i achieved a first class grade (82%). This strengthened my skills in independent research, planning, structuring arguments and writing in a clear, persuasive style. I am now progressing to a Master’s in Social Science Research at Loughborough University, where I will be further developing advanced skills in essay writing, academic reading and detailed analysis. Across my education, I have built strong experience in breaking down complex pieces of writing, identifying key ideas and explaining them in simple, accessible ways.
