Hello! I am a passionate English tutor with a degree in English Literature and Creative writing from the University of Warwick. I am also currently studying to become a full-time English teacher at secondary school level. My aim as a tutor is to make English feel approachable, engaging and enjoyable, while helping students to build the confidence they need to express their ideas and reach their full potential. I’m especially keen to support students whole might lack confidence in English or find the subject challenging. I studied English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick, where I enjoyed the wide range of texts and forms available, from Geoffrey Chaucer and Homer to modern texts dating well into the 21st century. My course covered poetry, novels, plays, films, graphic novels, and short stories across English and American literature. I also completed a film module in my final year, leaving me confident teaching Film Studies as its popularity grows in schools. Half of my degree focused on creative writing, where I particularly enjoyed screenwriting. Many seminars involved peer review, where I developed strong skills in giving constructive and sensitive feedback. Hello, my name is Isabel (Belle) and I am an 18 year old first year medical student who loves to teach.
