Hi! I am Sanjana, an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge with a huge passion to work with students to aid them gain confidence in a wide range of subjects. Having tutored in the past with children aged 4 - 16, I aim to work with the student on an individual level ensuring we work together, at the students own pace and way of learning. Aside from tutoring and study, I love creating in terms of art/design as well as in cooking, walking and listening to music! I attended Tonbridge Grammar School from Year 7 -11 and St Olaves Grammar School for the remainder for sixth-form where I achieved 7 x 9s and 2 A* and A. I am currently studying a BA in Architecture at the University of Cambridge, where I am a full-time student. Previously, I worked as a tutor at explore learning for 1.5 years where I taught students aged 4-16 in english, maths, 11+ and GCSE. I volunteered in primary schools aswell whereby I helped young students in art and crafts as well as english. I also have tutored students privately in art.

I graduated in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham and teach Maths to students of all ages up to A level. I achieved A*A*A* at A level in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, reflecting the strong academic foundation I bring to my teaching. With my students, I ensure that their understanding of underlying methods is to the highest possible standard through rigorous practice. In my experience as a student, exposing yourself to different mathematical scenarios builds a great foundation for achieving the best possible grades. My biggest aim for my students is for them to constantly improve so that when they get to the exam, they are confident about any aspect of the syllabus that may arise. For my sessions, I will ask students what they wish to study and ensure I tailor the session around what I am told. If the student is undecided, I will plan lessons around pushing the student to challenge themselves in rigorous practice, with my guidance, around different mathematical concepts in their curriculum. For exams, my main aim is for students to achieve the best grades possible, meeting and exceeding their targets. My highest level of education is an MSci in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham. Prior to this, I achieved A*A*A* in A-level Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. I have over 3 years of experience tutoring students in Mathematics across a range of ages and abilities, up to A level. Through this experience, I have developed a strong ability to explain difficult concepts clearly, adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, and build both confidence and exam technique. My focus is always on ensuring students fully understand the methods they are using, so they can approach unfamiliar questions with confidence and achieve the best grades possible.

I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities and aim to create engaging lessons that build both confidence and linguistic competence. I have lived and travelled extensively in Spain and Latin America, experiences that significantly enriched my understanding of regional accents, idiomatic language, social customs, and cultural traditions. These experiences allow me to bring authenticity and real-world context into the classroom. My particular interests include Hispanic literature, contemporary Spanish and Latin American politics, cultural identity, film, and music. I am especially interested in helping students understand not only the mechanics of the language but also the cultural perspectives that shape communication across the Spanish-speaking world. I believe language learning should be intellectually stimulating, culturally immersive, and accessible to all learners. I attended Westminster School (10 O levels, 3 A levels), attained a 2:1 MA in Hispanic Studies at the university of Glasgow, completed my phd finance modules at university of Essex in 0212, received my QTS and PGCE from St Mary's university in 2024. I taught Spanish at Three Rivers Academy and GNSA in Hayes. My specialisations are Hispanic Culture, Literature and Art. I am an expert on world poetry and drama.

My career journey started from a very young age, where I was writing poetry, stories, taught Mathematics, repaired bicycles, phones and computers, and played multiple instruments. I have the ability to learn and master anything from Novice to Advanced through planning, disciple and consistency. I have nine experience in teaching Mathematics and English to different age groups and also created my teaching material to enhance learning and understanding. I have been coding in Python and Javascript, and have intermediate understanding on C, C++, C#, Java and PHP. I have created projects that help solve any problem that I experienced in a working environment, and these projects reduce the amount of work and time because they are accurate and reliable. I do motivational talks about life, technology, arts and Mathematics, and 90 percent of the students that I have worked with have managed to improve their academics and work ethic. I have been requested by schools to come and assist with complex Mathematical concepts after they saw my incredible work with people., and I don't just work for a salary, but I work to learn, teach, improvise and solve any problem to create a healthy succesful working environment. In all my years of working, I have been solving problems and creating better solutions, combining ideas and working as a wise team to ensure that quality results are obtained. In the previous years, I was teaching the piano, guitars and vocals on my spare time, to help children escape depression, violence and drugs. I love working with people, learning from them and teaching them, and I believe that working with people is creating a system that is beneficial. I enrolled to study a Bachelor’s degree in Education at the University of the Free State until 2019. I was majoring in Mathematics and Life Sciences because I was passionate about teaching Mathematics. With the minimum income that I was getting, I bought musical instruments, teaching equipment and devices. In 2020, I was employed at a school to teach Mathematics until 2023 December. Between 2020 and 2023, I was learning numerous skills, Mathematics, computer hardware, different musical instruments and got exposed to programming. I was running a successful tutoring program, internet café and music program. I got a job at ATNS in Aviation where I am currently working as an Aeronautical Information Management Officer. I developed the passion for coding, fascinated by its way of granting one the ability to program anything, that could solve time and problems. In 2023, I was using JavaScript to code automated Mathematics tests, I used it to study, and create projects that solved any problem that I encountered. I am currently learning JavaScript and Python. I am currently enrolled with the University of the People for BSc in Computer Science. I had a problem with learning how to code because it was different from Mathematics and theoretical work, it challenged me to learn and apply code to solve problems. I am eager to learn and have drafted well detailed plan about my future in I.T. Before I enrolled at the University, I prepared myself by getting books and studying from multiple sources.
