Hi! I’m a university student with an A in A-Level Mathematics and a genuine passion for helping students build confidence in maths. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, whether they’re preparing for exams, catching up on topics, or aiming for top grades. I completed my GCSEs at Jo Richardson Community School, achieving qualifications in Mathematics, English, Combined Science, Geography, Music, Drama, and BTEC Business. I then completed my A Levels at the same school, studying Mathematics, Economics, and Geography, where I achieved an A in Mathematics. I am currently studying Accounting and Finance at university, where I continue to strengthen my analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills. My strong mathematical background, combined with my communication skills and patient approach, allows me to explain concepts clearly and adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles. Hi, I'm Matty and I am a first year mechanical engineering student at the university of Sheffield looking to tutor physics at GCSE. I'm a patient, relaxed person who has always had a passion for learning and teaching physics. I believe I have a great process for learning sciences, especially physics, that produces deep understanding and great results. I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities and aim to create engaging lessons that build both confidence and linguistic competence. I have lived and travelled extensively in Spain and Latin America, experiences that significantly enriched my understanding of regional accents, idiomatic language, social customs, and cultural traditions. These experiences allow me to bring authenticity and real-world context into the classroom. My particular interests include Hispanic literature, contemporary Spanish and Latin American politics, cultural identity, film, and music. I attended Westminster School (10 O levels, 3 A levels), attained a 2:1 MA in Hispanic Studies at the university of Glasgow, completed my phd finance modules at university of Essex in 0212, received my QTS and PGCE from St Mary's university in 2024. I taught Spanish at Three Rivers Academy and GNSA in Hayes. My specialisations are Hispanic Culture, Literature and Art. I am an expert on world poetry and drama.
