As well as teaching the syllabus content, I can help improve a student's thinking and writing skills so that they can go into exams with more confidence. I have also developed my coaching skills so work with students to help them improve their own problem-solving capabilities so that they can identify how they can study more effectively. A bit about me: I'm a PhD-qualified tutor who, over the course of my career, spent time working as a researcher, consultant and analyst across different industries. In all of those other roles, the part I enjoyed most was training, teaching and coaching people, so I am working towards making that my full-time career. Working in industry has taught me the importance of always turning up prepared and ready to work, using clear, prompt and honest communication and making sure that whoever I am working with knows that I am working in their best interests. I have just graduated from BSc (hons) Biomedical science with Anatomy with a first class. I know studying can be hard and sometimes knowing the content isn't enough. I have been tutored myself in the past, and so I know first hand what methods work and how student specific tailoring is key! I like to ask the students what they feel will be beneficial so that we can get the most out of the lessons. Through working on our weaknesses and building on our strengths, I hope we can strive to succeed. I have just graduated with a first class in BSc (Hons) Biomedical science with Anatomy.
