I believe that every student has a unique strength, and my goal is to help you tap into it so you can excel academically. I’ve always been fascinated by how the world works, whether it’s the human mind in Psychology, the reactions that drive Chemistry, or the relation of Biology to human life. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of helping students not only improve their grades but also understand these subjects. If you’re struggling with difficult concepts or just want to widen your knowledge, I’ll be with you every step of the way. I try to make learning engaging and relatable by using real-life examples to make complex topics easier to comprehend. Asides teaching, I love to watch TV shows like Friends, try out new cooking recipes and go on walks with my dog. Together, we’ll take on challenges, set goals, and celebrate your progress. I’m here to help you reach your full potential. Let’s make learning interesting and fun—looking forward to seeing you in class! My academic journey is rooted in a deep passion for the Sciences, which has been cultivated through years of study and practical experience. I hold a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Uyo, where I studied the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology. Throughout my time at university, I gained a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical application, which allow me to approach complex concepts with clarity and insight. After collecting my University degree, I practiced as a Pharmacist in a General Hospital and spent a year working in the Psychiatry department, gaining practical knowledge in Psychology and Psychiatry. I have honed my teaching skills through a tutoring experience that has spanned 4 years. Having tutored students from various educational backgrounds, I am now skilled at breaking down complicated material and tailoring lessons to each student’s individual needs. I have a strong academic background in Chemistry and more than ten years of experience in university research, teaching and student supervision. I completed my MSc in Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. I then studied at Arizona State University in the United States before completing my PhD in Chemistry at Stockholm University in Sweden. My doctoral research focused on solid-state and materials chemistry. After my PhD, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh. I later worked as an Instrument Scientist at the University of Lincoln, where I supported students and researchers with materials characterisation, crystallography and analytical techniques. I am currently an Honorary Fellow at the University of Lincoln. Throughout my academic career, I have taught and supported undergraduate, Master’s and PhD students. I also use past papers to help students understand how marks are awarded and how to structure strong answers. My scientific background allows me to explain not only what happens in Chemistry, but also why it happens. However, I always adapt the depth and pace to the student’s level. My aim is to make difficult topics manageable, build confidence and help each student make steady progress.

I have won a few awards so far, one of which is ‘Best Research Paper’ award, which was in recognition of my outstanding achievement and command of research by the end of my MSc in Molecular Medicine. I have been awarded a few grants and scholarships and have met former president Barak Obama as part of the programme I had on one of the leadership courses I undertook in the US. New tutor

Hi, I’m Aryan, a 19 year old BSc Economics and Geography student at UCL. I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I enjoy helping students understand topics that they may initially find difficult. Before university, I completed the IB achieving 41 points overall, including a 7 in Higher Level Chemistry and 6s in Higher Level Economics and Mathematics. I also studied Geography (7), Spanish (6) and English literature (6) at standard level. I have experience both tutoring other students and being tutored myself, so I understand what makes a lesson genuinely helpful and engaging from both perspectives. I know that every student learns differently, and I try to adapt my explanations and teaching style to what works best for each individual. Outside of academics, I enjoy going to the gym, travelling, and being involved in university societies and leadership roles. Alongside my studies, I have taken on academic and leadership responsibilities, including serving as a First Year Academic Representative at UCL.

New tutor

Hi! I'm Jenna, a recently graduated Psychology student with a passion for learning and helping others achieve their full potential. As a determined problem-solver, I have always loved maths - the satisfaction I get from solving a particularly difficult problem is what makes it my favourite! From solving algebraic equations in early GCSE to working out financial budgets for my university life, maths has always been exciting for me. Hopefully I can share this passion with you, and have some fun along the way. I have some tutoring experience across a range of contexts, from helping year 7s struggling with secondary school maths topics, to regularly assisting university students with psychology questions. At the forefront of my focus is a student's inherent grasp of the topic. I will continually check your understanding, and I am willing to approach the topic from a different angle in order to elevate your understanding and knowledge. I am determined to help you in any way that I can so you can achieve your personal academic goals and importantly, boost your confidence in your own mathematical ability. There are no stupid questions in lessons with me - I will encourage you to stick with it and keep asking for help and guidance until you could do it in your sleep! It's not always about top grades: a solid understanding of mathematical concepts and familiarity with numerical rules come first, but good marks almost always come hand in hand with this. I look forward to tutoring you!

Outside of my studies I enjoy going to the gym, playing padel and reading. I hope you will find my lessons enjoyable! I attended The Portsmouth Grammar School where I completed my GCSEs and A Levels. I studied Biology, Chemisty and Maths at A Level. After A Levels I took a year out where I worked as a ski instructor, gaining a Level 2 CSIA qualification, which allowed me to work with a large variety of clients. Currently, I am in my 3rd year of Biochemistry at The University of Warwick with a predicted First-Class, after which I'm going to undertake a masters. New tutor

Hi, I’m Martha! I tutor GCSE and A-level Maths, with a friendly, patient and practical approach. I enjoy breaking down difficult topics into simple steps and helping students build confidence with maths. I tailor lessons to each student, whether that means going back over the basics, tackling a particular topic or practising exam questions. My aim is for students to feel comfortable asking questions and to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they started. I have an MSci in Natural Sciences from the University of Nottingham, where I specialised in Mathematics alongside Archaeology. My degree covered a broad range of mathematical topics, and my Master’s project used Principal Component Analysis to analyse archaeological data. Since graduating, I’ve spent several years working in analytical and technology roles, where I’ve used maths, data analysis and problem-solving skills in practice. My work has involved analysing large and complex datasets, identifying patterns, and communicating technical information clearly to people from a wide range of backgrounds. I also have experience delivering professional training, including designing and teaching SQL training courses. This has given me plenty of practice explaining technical concepts step-by-step, adapting my explanations to different levels of understanding, and helping people build confidence with unfamiliar material.

I am an English Intervention Tutor in a UK secondary school, with a BA in English with Creative Writing. I have a National Tutoring Programme certificate and I am also TEFL qualified. I have over two years’ experience of tutoring and over two years’ experiences as a TEFL teacher. I know that the road to higher education is not easy. In fact, GCSE and A-level years were really tough for me. I know things can be overwhelming at this level and I aim to do everything I can to help students along the way. With lots of hard work, I managed to achieve A*s in both A Level and GCSE English. I also achieved best in my year in my undergraduate degree. I would love to use the skills I have learnt to help students achieve the grades they want. I will personalise the lesson to you and your particular exam specification. I will do my own homework for each lesson, making sure I am familiar with mark schemes and set texts. For TEFL students, I take a personal approach, assessing your most important goals and tailoring lessons to these goals. I try to incorporate elements of reading, writing and speaking into each lesson. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, learning Spanish and watching football. I promise to be a reliable, hard-working and personal tutor.
