Hello, my name’s Benjamin. I’m patient, approachable, and passionate about maths and physics. I’ve always enjoyed talking about the subjects I love, partly because I think they’re really cool, but also because I believe it’s important to be curious about the world around us. My approach to learning is based on understanding things from first principles. I think it’s much better to build strong foundations than to simply memorise facts or methods without really knowing why they work. If you understand something properly, you shouldn’t have to remember very much at all and that makes learning a lot easier and more enjoyable. I also like connecting concepts to real-world examples, as this can make abstract ideas feel much more concrete. For example, Faraday’s law helps explain how wireless charging works! As a tutor, I aim to make lessons clear, engaging, and supportive, helping students build confidence as well as knowledge. I completed my A-levels at Bristol Grammar School in Physics, Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry, achieving A*A*A*A. In Year 12, I also gained a distinction in the Advanced Extension Award in Maths. I am now in my final year studying Physics at the University of Oxford.

About me: I am a Biotechnology Masters graduate. I grew up in England with regular trips to Finland to see my family. As for my hobbies I enjoy Rock climbing and scuba diving when I have the time. I also play D&D and board games with friends regularly throughout the week. Hi, my name is Hinaa and I am an undergraduate student in my third year at Kings College London university studying mathematics with statistics. I achieved an A in maths and a B in further maths at A-level. I also have two younger sisters who I have helped tutor in various subjects for the previous years so believe me I have patience and best understand how to best help them learn. In our first session we will work through an exam paper together and I'll be making notes throughout on topics that you are feeling confident with and those that you struggle with. In future weeks will we take time to go through every topic that you struggle with in great detail until you are feeling confident. I will start off these lessons by explaining the method to you whilst working through some exam style questions and will then allow you to have a go at some yourself.

Hi! I’m Lucy and I am a Policy and Legislation Lead within the UK Civil Service. I have been doing this for nearly 5 years, following having studied at the University of Bristol. I studied BSc Management. In my spare time, I love playing and listening to music and being outside! I have a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Bristol. This included subjects such as business studies, economics, marketing, consumer behaviour and behavioural change theory.
