I'm Tilly, and I'm a third-year medical student at Oxford University. I have been tutoring for over four years now and love helping students in maths, science and for medical school admissions tests. I hope to be a friendly, approachable and enthusiastic tutor assisting students in their learning by helping them both understand topics deeply and enjoy their learning as much as possible. I studied at Putney High School, where I achieved all 9s at GCSE and A* in biology, chemistry, maths, and my EPQ. However, I am now a third-year medical student at Oxford University. I’ve had many years of experience volunteering with schools helping students excel in subjects that they find difficult. I’ve always had a passion for science leading me to have a career in microbiology so I know tutoring biology would be a strong suit. Hopefully, I can encourage more students, especially young women to pursue a future in STEM. I loved maths back in school and I do find myself still doing random mathematical questions as I love the subject. I was my favourite back in school. About me: Hi! I’m Irene. I have been involved in teaching for 2 years, having previously worked with students age 4-16 as a teaching assistant in the UK and in Spain. My experience has allowed me to develop my confidence in teaching students from KS1 all the way up to A-level.
