Lower Level: Mathematics and Science GCSE: Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics Exam board Experience: All examboards for GCSE biology and chemistry and Edexcel/ AQA/OCR for GCSE mathematics. Languages: I prefer tutoring in English. Experience: I have tutored both primary and secondary school students previously. Preferred student age group: Any About me: Hi! :) I am Bel and I am currently a research student. My areas of interest are mitochondrial genetics and proteomics, and I hope to complete my PhD. I have signed up as a tutor on GoStudent because I find working as a tutor to be both fulfilling and rewarding. I remember being a stressed GCSE/ A-Level student so it will be easy for me to relate to students currently at that stage. My method for GCSE/ A-Level tutoring involves using mini-tests and looking at past assessments completed by the student to identify areas of weakness, and this will enable us to develop a better understanding of those topics. During the sessions, we will also look through exam questions and examiner reports together to identify and practice the skills required to achieve the top grades. Most importantly, I will work on building the student's confidence in their subject through these tailored sessions so they can reach their full academic potential. As for primary school students, my aim is to encourage the students to learn through educational and fun sessions which incorporate their personal interests to keep them engaged. I am very passionate about maths and the sciences, and I hope I can pass that on to my tutees. My non-academic interests include: archery, painting and embroidery. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! I hope to see you soon! :) University degree

Hi! I’m a second-year Geography student at the University of Birmingham with a genuine passion for helping students unlock their full potential. Although I was initially predicted CCD at A-level, I achieved AAB on results day, something I’m incredibly proud of. This experience has shaped the way I tutor. I understand what it feels like to doubt your ability, and more importantly, I know exactly how to turn things around. My goal is to help my students achieve the same transformation or even better! I have over a year of tutoring experience, and I truly find it one of the most rewarding things I do. Seeing students grow in confidence and improve their grades is why I love tutoring. Subjects & Exam Boards Geography GCSE: SQA, AQA, Edexcel A-Level: AQA, Edexcel, OCR Sociology GCSE: AQA A-Level: AQA English Language & Literature GCSE: AQA (texts may vary) GCSE literature texts: - Macbeth - Romeo and Juliet - An Inspector Calls - Blood Brothers - A Christmas Carol - Power and conflict anthology - Worlds and lives anthology - Of mice and men A-Level English Literature: AQA (texts may vary) TEXTS: - Othello - Tess of the d'Urbervilles - The Kite Runner - A thousand splendid suns - William Blake poetry - Little women - The Handmaid's tale - Death of a salesman Education experiences: I am currently a second-year Geography student at the University of Birmingham, where I am developing a strong academic foundation in both physical and human geography. My degree has strengthened my analytical thinking, essay writing, research skills and ability to interpret complex data, all of which I integrate into my tutoring. At A-Level, I exceeded expectations by achieving AAB, despite being predicted significantly lower grades. This experience has shaped my academic mindset and my approach to tutoring. I understand the importance of effective revision strategies, exam technique, and building confidence alongside subject knowledge.

Hi! My name is Aurora and I am a postgraduate student at the University of Manchester, studying a Masters in Development Economics. I am originally from Italy, but I moved to the UK when I was 16 and sat both my GCSEs and A Levels in London. In my GCSEs I achieved 8 A* and 4 A grades. These were the second-highest results in my cohort, despite the fact I had only been living in England for two years before sitting my exams. At sixth form, I taught myself French A Level in just one year and achieved an A grade, the highest grade in my class. I have always found learning languages an extremely rewarding, albeit sometimes frustrating process. Although languages open up doors to new ways of thinking and seeing the world around you, grasping the different aspects of a language, such as its grammar, can be demoralising. And that’s what I am here for - as a fellow language learner, I can empathise with the difficulties of this process and will do my best to make it as smooth and fun as possible. Furthermore, as a foreigner who has been through the UK education system, I am able to advise those in similar positions and facing similar challenges. Students learn in different ways, so I will adapt our lessons depending on your preferred learning style. During the introductory lesson, I will ask you questions in order to determine how you study, and your responses will shape the way I plan our future sessions. I will also be interested to know the topics you are struggling the most with, in order to give me a clearer idea of the areas I should focus on. I look forward to hearing from you! All the best, Aurora Qualifications: Msc, Development Economics and Policy at the University of Manchester (September 2023 - September 2024) BA, Economics with French and German at the University of Sheffield (September 2019 - June 2023) : First Class with Distinction in Spoken German A Levels (2016 - 2018): French (A), Italian (A), Chemistry (A), Mathematics (A) GCSEs (2014 - 2016): English Language (A), Chemistry (A), Physics (A), Further Mathematics (A), Biology (A*), Mathematics (A*), French (A*), German (A*), Italian (A*), ICT (A*), Religious Studies (A*), English Literature (A*). My name is Aurelia, but you can call me Lily. I am a Franco-Mauritian lawyer, practising international commercial and maritime law. I studied law in Paris and Swansea, and I am currently living in London. Teaching has always been a passion for me. I previously taught for several years to students all around the world (Japan, Brasil, France, UK, Taiwan, Egypt), from every level and at every age. I am a very positive and communicative tutor who always seeks to help my students reach their goals whether it is for school, business or travelling. My method is rather simple as I tailor my lessons from one student to another. My target is to help you become "un merveilleux" French speaker, an accomplished English speaker or provide you support for your legal studies! Regarding my hobbies, I am a real Foodie and Traveller at heart. I love discovering arts and teaching aside from my professional career. Not to mention the hours I can spend geeking on different video games. Hence, I will always make sure to put my "joie de vivre" and kind personality in the lessons we will have together. I believe that there are no bad students or horrible accents, but only bad methods and wrong tutors. It would be my pleasure to have you as my next student, so don't be shy and book a lesson with me :) A bientôt, see you soon in class! *French Baccalaureate *LLB (Licence en Droit, spécialité droit international et européen) - Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne * DULA Common Law - Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne * MA (International Commercial Law) - Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne * LLM (International Maritime Law) - Swansea University * GDL - BPP University (London)

Hi, I am Tutor Mega. I have 3 years of experience teaching online and over 5 years of teaching offline. My journey as a tutor started in the university, by helping my colleagues catch up with the curriculum. This passion grew and I absolutely love helping students jump hurdles that seemed like mountains in the past. I am a Pharmacist by profession and this requires a broad knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology to the advanced level, as it is needed to understand, discover and produce medicines for human use. I also have a teaching certificate from the TEFL Professional Institute. I have tutored Biology, Chemistry,Psychology and Physics at GCSE and A-levels, and I have also tutored Pharmacology to medical, nursing, and pharmacy students. My goal and tutoring style is to prioritize understanding while providing strategies to answer questions properly for the maximum possible marks, therefore, helping students achieve their academic goals. My story is one of pure resilience which is what I want to impact in my students daily. I went from a struggling high school student to acing my GCSE, and finally becoming a Pharmacist, which has always been my dream. I am a clinical researcher because I love to discover new things which also fostered my love for teaching. After all, learning is a two-way process and it never stops. Aside from teaching, I love to read, I love to cook as well as I am on a journey to discover new recipes!!! Finally, I think that learning doesn't have to be boring, and knowledge should be a lifelong gift. Bachelor's degree - Distinct Bachelor of Science ( Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences) GCSE - A* - Maths Chemistry Biology Physics Add Maths A ( English, Economics) TEFL Certificate - International Open Academy of London
